Shrimp noodles with zucchini is really amazing. The woman behind the counter was very formal and made my day with her hospitality and friendliness. 10/10 glad I came back

Vegetable fried rice was on point! The employee a different woman was very friendly and quick. This place keeps getting better with each visit!
The Food
I opted for the tofu and vegetables over noodles with their signature Teppanyaki sauce. The vegetables were cooked just right—tender with a bit of bite—and the tofu was impressively seasoned. My husband had the chicken entrée with rice and vegetables, both generous and flavorful. Each dish came with what they called “egg rolls,” though they were actually spring rolls—crispy, light, and a pleasant addition.
♀️ The Service
Service was prompt and friendly. Our server was attentive and kind, though we couldn’t catch her name—no name tag in sight. If management reads this, please pass along our thanks to the young woman working the evening shift on September 23rd —she made our visit smooth and welcoming.
Housekeeping Note
One small but important observation: the host/order taker/cashier/expeditor also handled bussing duties. While multitasking is commendable, we noticed the same towel was used to wipe the seats first, then the tabletops. For the sake of food safety and guest health, we’d like to gently flag this practice.
According to Sani-safe guidelines from Stericycle:
“Wiping seats with the same cloth used for a food preparation or dining surface can transfer germs like E. coli and Salmonella from the chair to the table.”
“Seats come into contact with clothing and hands, which can introduce bacteria and viruses that aren’t typically present on tabletops. Wiping them separately ensures that germs from the seats are not transferred to surfaces where food is served.”
We share this not as criticism, but as a community-minded reminder. Teppanyaki has earned its place among Elko’s favorites, and with a few tweaks, it can continue to shine even brighter.
I wouldn’t recommend the loco moco to anyone that has had a loco moco!!!
Update: I love their Tappanyaki noodles with chicken! I have come here 6 times now, every time I’m in Elko. Owners are awesome and the food is always great! I agree with the AI summary saying it is a generous portion for a reasonable price. I rarely have leftovers places, but it’s pretty common to have some leftovers there!
