This was the first time I went to a place like this. The show was great. The chef was talented and he definitely had his routine down. The only thing is the prices are crazy high for food that’s only okay tasting. Ichiban gives you more food for like 3x less the bill. So if money doesn’t matter to you totally go. If you want the economic choice, this isn’t it! Like I said I can’t complain about much else it was pretty great in the other categories.

The quality of the food was good, the sashimi took 45 min to come. We were both very disappointed in the sushi chefs. All three were very serious the entire time. It must have been because they were so busy. We only spent 105 dollars for the two of us but getting started some acknowledgment from them when we arrived or left would have been a nice touch. We have been to many sushi restaurants and the attitude of the sushi chefs can make all the difference in the world as to whether we return or not. We said thank you as we left and one responded with a unexpected low thank you. If I were the owner I would ask my chefs to smile and attempt some basic friendly attitudes no matter how busy they were.

Came to Utah for three days for work. This restaurant was by far the best we ate at hands down. Service was top notch. Patty, our server was unbelievable. She needs to be a training for all restaurants that strive to give the best customer experience possible. Alex our chef was hilarious. Food, atmosphere and service a 10! Been coming here for over 10 years. Never had a bad experience. Till tonight. Took a seat in the sushi bar. There was a couple at a table. No one else. I take a seat. Three..four minutes go by. I set a stopwatch. 8 full minutes passed before anyone even looked my way and I chose to leave. Best part…there were like 4 or 5, employees, most on their phones, in the lobby!?!?! Sushi ain’t cheap. And if I’m shelling out my hard earned cash, I expect to get treated better than this…

Great place for a large party with kids. Our whole group, 5 adults and 5 children sat around one table and the kids were totally entertained. They also ate all their food. It’s pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

I’ve been here several times over the years. Be prepared to spend a lot of money, but the sushi and food from the grill is high quality and delicious. I was a little perturbed the last time I went in. On a Sunday night, I couldn’t get through on their phone after trying 4 times over an hour. It was always busy. So we just drove there and went in. I was quoted a 30 min wait, which ended up being closer to an hour by the time we were called and actually seated. And then we didn’t get greeted for 20 minutes until I let the hostess know. However, after that our server came promptly, took our order and brought out drinks immediately. The Tepanyaki chef came out after only a couple minutes, even before our soup and salad arrived. I could tell it was just an honest mistake or miscommunication and the server didn’t know she was supposed to take our table. But her quick and professional response was impressive, and we had great service and amazing food until we left.

I’ve been here multiple times, every time previously with a party of four. This time there was six of us three pairs, so three checks total. I told the guy who took our order “Two, two and two.” For the checks, but despite paying separately every check got an 18% gratuity automatically charged. If we were all on one check I have no issue with that, I’m not against tipping. But adding that to each of ours total when we are paying separately is just sleazy. Especially since the seating arrangement is made for big parties or eight separate people. Be aware when coming as a party even if you aren’t paying as one.
