Reviews
The interior deco is mediocre.
And they placed an ice cream chest freezer in the dining hall, which constantly making industrial hum. It reminds me of an employee break room of the Home Depot.
French toast- not too sweet and well cooked bread
Greek sizzler skillet- perfectly spiced, balanced ingredients
Food came with a spread side that was plentiful and delicious
So much quantity too!
Great addition to Troy Community!!
First, there were very few people there (1-2 other tables the whole time we were there and one table seemed to be family of the staff) yet service took a long time. The waitress was friendly and admitted that it was her first day, but she did her part well enough.
The food itself was “meh”. The coffee was barely warm. I ordered the stuffed French toast and even asked when it arrived if I had received the correct order. The bread of the French toast itself was good, but as for the cream-cheese stuffing it was non-existent. There seemed to be a coating of cream on the toast itself but certainly not stuffed! My niece got the salmon eggs Benedict and the salmon was cooked differently than what the menu said (I’m not a big fish person so don’t know specifics), and she did not enjoy it. Oh, and both of our food came out also just warm.
Service was largely fine, maybe on the slower end, but only one server was present to handle all tables.
Food though… yikes. I thought it was impossible to screw up avocado toast. I was very wrong.
Menu said “avocado toast, up charge to add eggs” no big deal, I’ll give it a go with eggs.
They roll out two pieces of toast, one with eggs, the other with sliced avocado that isn’t even remotely ripe. The avocado was rock hard and impossible to spread, so I’m sitting their eating a dry piece of toast with rock hard avocado slices on it, then the other slice with my eggs… who doesn’t stack the eggs on top of the avocado? The dish was not good, wouldn’t recommend, unopened avocado on one slice of toast, then eggs on another slice of toast, can’t overlap them as a normal person would do.
Atmosphere: I could clearly see spray paint on the walls probably from the previous establishment, also the tv was crooked playing ads on YouTube I think. Might wanna grab YouTube premium.
We liked the food last time, even though they forgot the poached eggs on the benedict, we decided to come back. This time around it was very bad. We waited for approx 2 hrs with no update on food or anything and when we asked if our order had started, the server said most likely no. So we decided to leave and asked cash out t but the server said is ok no worries…. But without an apology. Really wanted this place to be a success, unfortunately is not looking good so far.
