I was vacationing in New Mexico with my wife and we stopped by this restaurant to relax and have lunch. We were not disappointed! The place is filled with beautiful artwork, warm lighting, and local history that gives it a cozy, comfortable charm.
We ordered two meals with drinks and a side of sopaipillas with honey. Everything was absolutely delicious and very satisfying. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were very polite and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
Parking is available both in the front and back, which was convenient. Our experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend stopping by for a meal if you’re in the area!

The service was very excellent. The atmosphere is of course authentic Mexican restaurant style. This was the first time I went to this restaurant and I’ve lived in Los Lunas over 30 years and sadly will be my first and last visit. The hamburger i order was just awful. The meat was so dry I was so disappointed. The fries seemed like frozen re warmed fries with no salt. We went for Valentines day. Maybe the enchiladas and things like that are better but, ill never go again. So sad to see the quality of a Los Lunas Authentic Mexican restaurant go down the gutter.

Esthetically an amazing restaurant! Service ok and food was bad… the ground beef has to be steamed or something because it turns to mush, the tamales 100% are frozen or old and the corn tortillas are over cooked and hard. Service would’ve been better if they sat us in the front where there were maybe 3 parties seated out 20ish tables, but walked us back too a small room (which i thought was weird) so being that far back service suffered. So overall overpriced for really bad food, but building was amazing, clean bathrooms, and tap water was 10/10.

The food is not as good as it once was in the past. The presentation of the food was good. I had the tamale combination plate. Unfortunately, my tamale was as big as the rolled enchilada. The taco was dripping grease when I picked it up to eat it. The red Chile was good. The green was bland and there were too many tomatoes. It took a while to place our order, and the waitress didn’t come by for refills on tea. The southwest atmosphere was very nice. Good music in the back groud and not too loud.

I had red chile spinach enchiladas (quelites) with refried beans- my friends had Chicken Hortensia and flat top burger. We drank Arnold Palmer tea and had Natillas and Toledo cake for desert! It was superb!

Terrible service, the worse experience i have received in a very long time. Order chips and salsa, don’t get them for the server to ask “oh he didn’t bring them” while looking at the table.. tried to get a servers attention for a drink refill for her to roll her eyes with an entire head motion. And who played a salad with Italian dressing on a plate with a burger. This place needs to do better.

I hate to do this being from Los Lunas and growing up with Teofilo’s as a huge part of our town but I got to be honest. I ordered fajitas tonight for dinner and the meat was very tasty, however it did not come in a fajita skillet and there was no sauteed veggies, which to me is what you’d expect with that meal. The staff were very friendly and our food did come out fast, but just a heads up don’t get the fajitas.

Got take out. Skimpy servings for over $16. (I had just cut the chicken in the picture but figured to take a photo— that was everything before eating.) Just don’t think that plate was worth the money. One plus, the service over the phone and at checkout was friendly.
