Stopped by Teocalli on Carson Street in the South Side and had a fantastic meal. I ordered the carne asada, which was flavorful and came with great sides—the grilled onions and jalapeño were a nice touch. My partner went with the Teocalli fajitas, a generous and delicious mix of shrimp, chicken, and steak.
The food was very good across the board, the chips and salsa were fresh, and the service was impressively prompt. One thing to note: they don’t have their liquor license yet, but the staff mentioned they are getting it soon! Definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for quality Mexican food in Southside.

My boyfriend and I just went for our first time, it was absolutely amazing! Everyone was so incredibly nice, the service was quick, and our food was 10/10! It was so clean, and so fun to be there. We could tell that every worker there genuinely cared about our experience. I got a fajita steak quesadilla and I already can’t wait to have it again. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious food at great prices!! The staff is all so nice and welcoming. This is a great addition to the Southside I can’t wait until they have their liquor license and we can take advantage of the warm weather.

So, this place is 1 and a half weeks old. Service was great, I ordered a chicken quesadilla but when it came there was virtually no chicken to be seen. Im not usually the one returning meals but I thought they deserved to know it was disappointing. Right away there was acknowledgement and the owner/ cook came to the table and asked if he could fix it for me. I said sure and he did, it was a good meal after that. I really appreciate the willingness to listen and adjust what was wrong. We’ll be back when we’re next in town!!
