The ikura gunkan was especially generous with roe, bursting with flavor. The seared salmon topped with spicy tuna and roe added a nice smoky richness, while the classic salmon nigiri was buttery and fresh. Sweet shrimp nigiri was plump and sweet, and the seared white fish had a delicate texture with a touch of yuzu or ponzu. The scallop sushi was tender and mild, and the maguro was lean and satisfying.
It’s not premium omakase, but for the price and convenience, Tenroku Sushi delivers solid value with plenty of variety. Great spot for a quick, tasty meal when exploring Japantown.
I got six plates and it came out to $36 before tax and tip. That’s on average about $6 a plate. I did get one expensive o-toro for about $8.50 which was just ok, tasted a little fishy. My favorite was actually the tuna sashimi, it had two big chunks that were very good.
The restaurant was small but clean. The waitresses were attentive to refill my water but not my husband’s tea 🙁
PS. Food was half eaten before we remembered to take a photo.
The intimate seating around the chef’s table reminded me of the small sushi joins in Japan and the waitress was great at constantly keeping of green tea cups filled and cleaning off the lids of the dishes that we piled up next to us.
My boyfriend and I love this place, the fish is soooo good, the quality of it all is AMAZING, so fresh and well done, the OTORO sashimi/nigiri is by far the best one I’ve ever had, the chefs are the best! Mexicans who cook amazing and who treat their clients the best way possible, we try to go every week because is just, amazing, there’s not enough words to describe it and recomendations, just GO, we tried many many manyyyy places and this is by far the best, the best quality and attention! I’ve been goin for the last 2 years and no regrets, A MUST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I did not expect such authentic quality. Fishes including Maguro, Hirame, Hotate, and Uni were great. The taste and temperature of sushi rice are incredibly good✌️ The staff members are friendly and kind I really want to visit again to enjoy the higher quality sushi at a reasonable price, thank you
