Tenon is AMAZING! The staff are sweet! This includes the chef who went out of their way to go out into the blizzard today because they were out of pineapple for my dish just to ensure it was made with care and love. The food is fantastic as always but I usually get take out. It was especially great to experience the dine in aspect of the restaurant as it is so peaceful, clean and cute. I absolutely will be returning for sure!

We came to this gem earlier this year in April 2025. We we on a road trip and this was near our hotel on our way back home.
We were craving sushi and checked out the menu online and we were excited to try this place. Being vegetarian, it makes this place that much better.
The atmosphere when you walk in is very neat, a little pond at the front, gives this restaurant calm vibes. The service was tremendous. Very friendly and prompt.
When it came to the food, we thought it was very good. We left very happy and satisfied. The prices were decent as well.
Give this place a try next time you’re in Markham.

It’s one of our all time places to dine! Their sushi is the best o have version eaten! And I have tried my fair share of places! Their tenon roll is particularly delightful! Their yummy crispy is something you just have to try! It’s a crispy flat wonton that is topped with a combination of chopped tomato cucbers and sauce and it’s divine! Their beef teriyaki (vegetarian of course) is so so good! I haven’t tried a thing I haven’t loved here! The server is always so friendly and it’s nice and clean!

As the only dedicated Japanese vegetarian restaurant in the GTA, it consistently delivers on taste across all dishes (maybe except fried rice….). Service is reliable—staff are fluent in Mandarin and English while attentively accommodating requests. Having operated for years, the restaurant could truly redecorate itself with a refreshed interior: brighter lighting and contemporary, design-forward furnishings would make it far more inviting for social gatherings.

My absolute favourite sushi restaurant in all of the GTA! Everything is fresh and made to order. The portions are generous. Good for sharing. The rolls are by far the best.

This was my first time trying a vegan sushi place. And this place did not disappoint. We ordered Miso Soup, Edamame, Avocado Sushi, Broccoli Sushi, Soy Chicken Katsu, Soy Olive Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, California Roll, Tsao’s Soy Chicken, Chocolate cake and Coconut Cake. Everything was amazing, but the Broccoli rolls and Chocolate Eggless Cake were show stoppers.

It is the second time that I went to this resataurant. Our first image was that it must be a genuine Japanese restaurant in view of its food and setting. However, you do not feel strong Japanese atmosphere. Firstly, its greeting style is very different from that of a traditional Japanese restaurant. Secondly, the waitresses’ costumes do not carry any Japanese style. Despite the above, the service of which is generally good. All the waitresses are friendly and receptive to customers. Meanwhile, it provides more than a hundred of food for you to choose such as sushi, sashimi, tempura, handrolls, etc. All of them look like real food by naked eyes. Of course, these foods are tasted differently because they are made of vegetarian elements. Overall speaking, the foods which we have ordered are delicious and give us a refreshing feeling. The prices are also good. It’s worth my recommendation.
