As a Mexican food connoisseur (married to a Mexican person, eating more Mexican food than I would care to haha), I think this is the most consistent of all the Tenoch locations, and it’s always fresh and delicious. If you want authentic and high quality Mexican street food (especially their tortas, tacos, and quesadillas), then Tenoch is the way to go, and this location has great cooks!

I’m a big fan of Tenoch so was initially excited to have a Tenoch nearby in Malden. However, every time I’ve visited so far the food was always a little disappointing compared to my experience at other locations. The food tasted less fresh and was prepared with less care than other locations. I figured this was just an issue of ironing out the kinks of a new restaurant. However, yesterday my partner’s chicken did not come out hot, and she came down with food poisoning afterwards. It may be that they just haven’t managed to have the same turn around at this location as elsewhere, but clearly they haven’t managed to recreate whatever works in their other restaurants here in Malden.

We love Tenoch and were so excited to see a new location in Malden Center! The portions are very large and I usually have half leftover. The prices are super reasonable too.

You will not be disappointed by the wide variety of options available! I recently moved from San Diego and this is the closest thing I’ve had to authentic Mexican food in a LONG time! The family working at the counter was so nice and shared their favorite options. Tacos were full of flavor and the tortillas were PERFECT! Definitely check this place out!

Whoever wrote the review that this place will not disappoint must have clicked on the wrong restaurant. Ordered tacos that were as small as they were soggy. Was a like Tupperware full of tiny taco soup. $4 each by the way and had to eat it was a spoon! Can’t comment on the flavor as whatever the flavor was supposed to be was surely distorted by the sogg. Also as a nice consolation prize, we ordered chips and salsa where the salsa was essentially watered down tomato sauce. The chips had enough grease to turn the bag they came in see-through. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

It is so sad that you pay for one thing and get a completely different one, I ordered a large quesadilla and ended up getting a burrito. I would never go back again and I hope a lot of customers do the same

Glad to have tenoch make its way down to Malden – the view from the window is a great backdrop to enjoy their delicious staples
Today I had the pollo con queso, choriqueso and asada con queso – all of them tasty.

Food is good. Service is very lacking. A handful of times I’ve gone in, they get my order wrong by not adding things I request in my burrito. I have to remind them.
Another time I went in at 8:53. “Sorry, we are closed”. They close at 9. Brother, you can make a burrito in 7 minutes. If you are closed, why isn’t the door locked?

If you love authentic Mexican food this is the place. Their burritos and tacos are the best I’ve had anywhere. Staff is always smiling and friendly. If I could afford it I would eat here every day. I choose eating here over Chipotle 10 times out of 10.

I’m not a taco expert, I only really knew about Felipe’s. That’s of course before I discovered this place, I now eat here almost every day, taste and freshness is great – addicted to the Campechano taco. Very spacious, clean and colorful and comfortable interior as well. Have I mentioned price? $4 per taco is very reasonable for me, especially that dining in anywhere else easily costs double ($20)
