I ordered 2 carne asada tacos. I recommend getting at least 3 tacos if you’re very hungry. We got a side of chips and guac. Everything was delicious! My only complaint is that the drink selection was very limited.

One of the best places for tortas and Mexican bowls in Cambridge.

After trying some tortas from Tenoch a couple months ago, they quickly became one of my favorite Mexican food options for lunch. The simple combination of warm and crispy tortas, tender meat, and melted cheese was extremley addictive, and torta adobada and torta asada were some of my favorites. I also recently tried one of their plates with asada, and it was one of the best Mexican bowls I’ve had in a while. All the toppings were made with fresh ingredients, and even without any special toppings, the bowl was very flavorful and well-balanced. Will definitely be back to try more of their plates with different toppings.

As a latina and a person that has had Mexican food more than I can remember, I was very much looking forward to trying out this place. Unfortunately, the food was below average. The tacos were rather on the bland side. What happened to condiments that make Mexican food so amazing!?? Unable to recommend.

Really disappointing experience. The evening staff looked completely uninterested—especially the server, who acted like he didn’t even want to make the food. He was rude when we asked simple questions, and the dish came out missing key ingredients. The food itself was bland and poorly made. Definitely not worth the visit.

Step right up to this Mexican joint, folks! It’s a well-oiled machine, clean as a whistle, and it’ll leave you wondering how something so disappointingly average can exist. Having ventured many times through the sunny lands of Southern California and Mexico itself, this little Northeast gem falls right into the category of unremarkable. But cry not, for in the great city of Boston, there are far superior options to satisfy your taco cravings.

Now, let me regale you with tales of the one shining star in this culinary constellation: the chorizo. Oh, it’s a thing of beauty, my friends! Oily, fatty, and seasoned to perfection. It’s the kind of dish that’s hard to screw up, and they nailed it. A solid winner amidst a sea of culinary mediocrity.

But alas, dear reader, my tale takes a somber turn from here on out. Picture, if you will, tortillas plucked straight from the Sysco rack—dry and devoid of flavor. If I were told they were gluten-free, I’d have believed it without a second thought. These tortillas were so thick that using two of them became excessive, bordering on criminal, as they detracted from the true taco experience.

And now, prepare yourself for the abomination they dared to call “carne asada.” Behold the pictures, my good friends, and witness the aftermath of a beef massacre. It’s as if they gathered all the beef scraps left behind after the carving of prime cuts, threw them into a food chopper, and called it a day. Underseasoned, devoid of flavor, and strangely textured, it was a sad excuse for a dish.

As for the pollo, ah, the classic dry and stringy chicken, expertly overcooked to the point of desolation. To salvage this flavorless catastrophe, they drenched it in oil and spices, desperately hoping to rescue it from its own dismal fate.

These are not the tacos you are looking for. Move along.

I had the torta de asada and it was absolutely delicious packed with flavor and clearly made with love. So happy to have found an authentic Mexican spot in the area! If you’re thinking about trying it, do it you won’t regret it.

They also have a build-your-own bowl option, kind of like a Chipotle-style setup. I didn’t try it this time, but it looked amazing. Definitely a solid 9/10.

Worked in Medford center when the first one went up. The staff and owners were super personable and helpful there and then (circa 2015). Always looked forward to a torta for lunch on a Friday. And friendly service. Moved southward and hadn’t eaten there in years.

Went to this location today and staff were unfriendly and not accommodating. Refused to make nachos for my 6 YO daughters. They have all the ingredients to do so but refused and were pretty rude about it. Ate elsewhere as a result.
