We were very happy with how are food tasted and the friendly service. We called in advance to pick up a to go order for about 25 people. It was all ready when we got there. We had pulled pork, pulled turkey, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, and potato salad. All was good, although I thought the pork was a little dry. Sauces were really good (both sweet and hot). Prices seemed a little high, but overall we like it.

This restaurant is regarded as one of the top 3 in Livingston by the folks I know.
I recommend the chicken. The turkey and catfish are good, with the catfish breading being quite salty.
The ribs are St. Louis style, they have been trimmed and are very sugary sweet. If you’ve ever had ribs at Cheddar’s, you will find Tennessee BBQ’s to have less bulk and more sweetness. If that is too your likes, you’ll love these!
I had to remove one star since they ran out of banana pudding! Ah, how can I eat all that delicious food and not get the best BBQ dessert? I believe I got the last half chicken, which means someone else probably had to do without. This shows that they either have a lot of people visit, or they are under prepared.
The coffee is good, I recommend having it with your meal is you like coffee.
If you can pay with cash, they appreciate it. The credit card fees to small businesses add up over time. So consider bringing some with you to pay for your bill.
Suggestion to owner: I would like to see you start offering beef brisket.

Clean and fast but the wife found a big hunk of gelatinous fat in her baked beans. The pulled pork was very dry and the sauce could have been better.
Bottom line- freindly staff, and clean but food wasn’t very good.

We stopped, while passing through town, for lunch. Everything was great, excellent service and food, friendly locals and a sweet owner. We had read that Tennessee Barbecue is the best restaurant in Livingston, and found no reason to doubt it:)

Great pork rinds! I was recently turned onto those by my physician as part of a low-carb diet. I buy them from Tennessee Barbecue by the bagful and they are the best I’ve had anywhere. As for the regular menu, it’s not that exceptional compared to similar sit-down BBQ restaurants but the service is good and the prices reasonable.

I had the Pulled Pork BBQ, Baked Beans and Potatoes Salad. My sister had the special of the day which was Smoked 1/2 Chicken. She had Cole Slaw and Sweet Potato fries as the sides. The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely expect to return to try more dishes!

Stopped here while passing through town. The turkey sandwich and Friday catfish special were excellent. Very good french fries. Would definitely stop here again if I found myself in Livingston.

First time trying it tonight . The food wasn’t great my steak honestly sucked I can make a better one at home. The pulled pork was a lil dry. Maybe it was just a bad night because they were slammed I’ll try it again though and give it another chance

Excellent service by family of owners. BBQ is very good as are all the sides. Servings are plentiful.
A bit pricey for the area but worth a splurge every now and then.

Really good barbecue but they are stingy with the hush puppies. Tennessee style tomato based sauce, not the good vinegar based North Carolina sauce. Try the stuffed baked potato.
