Great fried Japanese chicken. I’ve been coming here for years. Place is small and there are a few tables. Girl at the counter was nice and polite. The atmosphere is ok. Nothing to rave about. They don’t sell beer so maybe another reason not to dine in.

The karaage and yuzu aoli combo is so good I cried. The owners are very kind, and I cannot overstate how delicious the food is. The popcorn chicken was also more delicious than I expected considering its breast rather than thighs!

If you’re looking for traditional southern-fried chicken, this is not it. Karaage chicken is unique and the sauce you dip it in is equally unique. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. I would have preferred a different, saltier dipping sauce, along the lines of a tonkatsu sauce. I would have enjoyed the chicken more. The genuine Japanese rice was great. The sushi was very different and bland; not my style. The owners were very friendly and informative about karaage . The place is quite clean inside. Best to call in. Small inside.

Amazing and delicious food. Had the regular karaage and the sweat and sour karaage. Both were juicy and flavorful. Portions were larger than I expected. The miso was also pretty good. Enjoyed the meal with a Calpico but they had beers available.
Best karaage we have had outside of Japan! Karaage was gluten free so that was great. The potato croquettes are not gluten free. Sad we didn’t find this place sooner. We will be back!

This place gives you a LOT of food for what you order, we picked a few choices and were completely full and still took home more than half of the food. They have excellent fried Chicken that pairs well with beer, but you gotta be into the chewy stuff. Friendly service and tasty food, excellent value and we will be back for sure

Ingredients sourced from Japan. Best fried Chicken in Costa Mesa if you ask me. This chicken tastes incredible. Authentic as it gets here in the states. They also have some great sushi. I’ve tried the Spicy Tuna bowl and it was really good in comparison to others I’ve had.

Best Karaage I’ve had in Orange County! Grab a Bowl and a miso soup before it’s all gone. Thank you for being around for so long and looking forward to my next visit very soon (and bringing more people with me).
Customer service – Excellent. Nothing bad to say about this place. Plus, only 20-25 min from the beach in Costa Mesa
This is THE CLOSEST you will get to authentic Japanese Chicken, Miso, and Bento Boxes

Great value for your buck if you’re craving for JFC (Japanese Fried Chicken). Got a combination plate with 3 karaage chicken, 3 wings, tempura, California rolls and steamed vegetables over rice with spicy mayo side and miso soup all for less than $13 (including tax)!

Boneless thigh karaage w sweet & spicy, and sweet & sour sauces on the side:
Omg! This place is so good! I’m honestly not too much of a fan of karaage compared to regular fries chicken but this seriously changed my mind. It’s super crunchy and light and there’s extra skin pieces that are pulled apart so they are extra crispy. I love it!!! Not too oily either but it’s fried so it’s still gonna be oily. The sweet and spicy sauce kind of reminds me of a slightly spiced sweet and sour but with a stronger soy flavor. The sweet and sour is super unique and I was trying to pinpoint what flavor I was tasting and strawberry came to mind; it sounds weird but it actually works bc it’s not too sweet and has that slight sour zing!!!
