I loved this restaurant! On the early weekend evening I visited I was one of the only people there but the atmosphere was still great and the service outstanding! There’s a ground floor bar area with kitchen, but upstairs is a great dining area complete with ‘outdoor’ balcony seating which is a great spot to watch the world go by on the street below.
The food menu is great, with a wide range of options from snack, sandwiches, traditional mains and full blown steaks. The same is true for the drinks, with something to suit everyone. The staff were able to give recommendations and throughout the meal they remained so attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome and not rushed, even as a solo diner. The classic milanesa has the option of beef or chicken, and with the homemade fries was a large and tasty main. The ice cold beer also went down a treat.
With everything to admire in the decor, the service, sizeable and good value food and atmosphere, I’ll certainly return here next time I’m in the city and would highly recommend.

The atmosphere and service was exceptional. I ordered a filet mignon, medium and and it came out rare. Mashed potatoes coulda used more flavor. Besides that the food was decent.

We had a great experience at Tenedor Argentino for our first meal in Costa Rica. We had a long travel day and Tenedor Argentino was the perfect end to our day. The location was ideal, super close to our hotel, only a few minutes walking. Everyone at the restaurant was exceptionally nice and friendly. Our host, our wonderful server, Carolina, and we even chatted with the owner’s son a bit. We started our meal with the chorizo and provolone cheese which was excellent. My wife enjoyed the sirloin for dinner while I had the chicken milanese, which was fantastic. It was a great experience and we’d highly recommend giving this place a try!

Our last dinner spot in Costa Rica! Everything was delicious. The wait staff so amazing. They even stayed open later for us. Love how they decorated the space, which is a very good size. Great to be seated on the upper level so we can look down into the city. Please eat here if you are in the city!

Came here for lunch on a rainy day and it was a treat. I was up on the balcony and it was such a great atmosphere and vibe. I ordered a Cosmo and a sandwich.
The servers were nice and attentive. The drink was strong and delicious. The food is flavorful with a decent portion. The price is slightly on the more expensive side, but it was worth it to me.

This place was amazing! We were able to sit outside with a view of the city. Our service was accommodating and a few of us got the steak and it was soooo good! The mint lemonade was a little over powering, but it wasn’t enough for us to remove a star.

A small little steak house pretty much in the center of activity in San Jose. Pretty dang good steaks at an average price. Pretty much the same you’d pay in the United States. They have a nice little balcony to eat on and look over the street. Our waitress was friendly but not real chatty. Overall if you want a good steak in San Jose, this is a good place.
