Quite possibly the greatest cocktail bar of all time! First, you enter by literally going underground. Once inside, the ambiance is dark and mysterious (my husband says it looks like a fancy vampire decorated it). The staff is incredibly helpful and the drinks are beyond compare! We went there to celebrate our anniversary and the bartender made us a special drink. It’s not on the menu, but I highly recommend asking about the Milk Punch. If you like fun cocktails, you won’t regret it! Please don’t drive through Dayton without stopping by!

What an amazing place! The Tender Mercy name is on a banner on the building but there’s no sign at the entrance to the bar. If you’re standing in front of Sueno’s, there are metal stairs in the sidewalk going down – down there is where you’ll find Tender Mercy.

Heard about this place for their cocktails and it did not disappoint. The ambience and the decor was very good. An awesome place for celebrating. They also have a restaurant Sueno, so food should also be great (I didn’t try their food) but will definitely go again. The staff were friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place.

This place is lit. Sorta like a 1920’s speak easy – no password required. Candle with a high gloss black ceiling. What an ambiance. Downed a few smoked Manhattans with a life long friend. While the bar had a few seats open I asked for a table. It was like a big cubby hole. The seating was comfortable, the noise level tolerable and the staff was attentive. All tables have a small oil candle. Need service ? Just blow out the candle. This place is below street level which just adds character to the whole experience. Definitely will repeat if I am ever in the area.

This probably one of the coolest places I’ve been too. The bartender was great. I ordered a dirty mullet and it was delicious. Highly recommend for pre dinner drinks or a night out with friends.

This place is super creative and surprising it resides in the Dayton Area. Very laid back and unique atmosphere while here. The drinks are phenomenal, and the specialty menu drinks are also awesome. Depending on who you are, they may offer to bring out the “secret menu”. Last time it was called the kids menu. If you made it this far in the review, enjoy.

Took a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Foolishly didn’t make a reservation but the hostesses were able to accommodate our group and put us in a comfortable seating area. The ambiance was on point and so were the cocktails! Thank you for the amazing experience I’ll most definitely be back!!

I was blown away. We took the drive up from Cincinnati, and it did not disappoint! This is the best bar in the Midwest, period. It has the atmosphere and vibe that reminds me of LA. The drinks (s/o Clarified Milk Punch!!) were fantastic.

So, this will be my first time leaving a review for anything but I do so because there is a one star review that I read that I disagree with. I have been coming to Tender Mercy for about a year now and always find it a fantastic experience and the drinks are always delicious. I sat next to the person that left the one star review and only a few minutes after they sat they started to write a review. When asked if they’re drink was okay they said it was fine. They also were on their phone writing their review which made them seem unaproachable. There were a couple a bartenders that were new and doing their best. It’s a Saturday night. It’s busy.
