Reviews
On a Sunday evening, the restaurant was about half full, and we were able to get a seat quickly.
I ordered the individual Original Pork Bone Soup with Beef Brisket Rice Noodle. It came out fast—as it should, since everything is prepped already, requiring little more than heating the soup. The dish was not bad, but for the price, I’m not sure it was worth it. The sides you add in are cheap and it felt very gimmicky. Also, the broth was quite bland. The beef brisket, however, was excellent—flavorful, soft, and tender. The Salt and Pepper Fried Tofu with Basil was a hit; it was pretty good.
Someone in our group ordered the Golden Hot and Sour Soup. He mentioned it was hotter than anticipated and he definitely liked the flavor, as it wasn’t overly sour.
I’m not sure if or when I will return, since I don’t visit the Pearlridge Shopping Center often. If I do go back, I will definitely try the dim sum and other dishes.
Side note: It must be tough for them, there is another hot pot place right next door at Pearlridge.
My favorite appetizers were: popcorn garlic chicken, cucumber and beef shank.
I loved classic and tomato soup.
I loved their mango pancake but it was little pricey to me. But all the main dish are great price.
The manager of the restaurant was so friendly and she even served us with a free desert. It was new in the menu. I don’t remember what it’s called but you can see it from the photos.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Service staff is efficient and welcoming. The host, Allen is warm and cheerful.
We enjoyed our first tine experience and definitely will not be our last. See you soon!
Located upstairs of Pearl Ridge Center Mall. We decided to eat here when we saw it while shopping since we haven’t had Yunnan Rice Noodles for many years. This is a more modern version of Yunnan’s stable with a very nice presentation and an easy way to order your options. We both got the bone base soup with fatty beef. The flavoring wasn’t overpowering and it was quite tasty. With 8 or 9 small dishes of ingredients all mixed together with the soup and the rice noodles, it was delightful. We also ordered the deep fried dumplings, which were okay, but not that good and tasted like grilled instead of deep fried. So I would not recommend getting the dumplings. The service was excellent and friendly. If you never have had yin a rice noodles, then you should stop by this place to check it out.
Make sure you leave room for dessert because the Boba souffle pancakes are probably the best dessert that I’ve ever had! The pancakes were light and fluffy and the portion was quite large, so it was great to share with another person.
The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. I believe that this restaurant is a must try and I can’t wait to eat there again!
Not in the picture, but we also ordered a dry noodle dish. So 2 noodle dish, and 2 appetizers (shrimp dumpling and fried tofu) For 4 things total, it was only about $58 without tip. That’s CRAZY GOOD VALUE!
The dumplings were so good. They have other dim sum options before 2pm, but we made it late and that’s some of what they had left.
The fried tofu at first doesnt look like much, but it’s seasoned great and has this crispy salty veg that surprised me.
The noodle dishes were decent, and again for $17, you cant go wrong.
They had other non-spicy broth options, you could choose a more salty and savory broth, but I chose spicy. For context, I’m a spicy girly. I love eating Buldak noodles on the daily, and I told the waitress this, but she still asked if I wanted “half spicy” because it can be overwhelming at full heat. I figured, may as well trust her since she works here, and I’m glad I did. The spicy broth is a combination of regular and numbing spice that is common in China. It was also quite flavorful, and the meat that came with the set that you put in the broth was quite tender.
My husband got the “dry noodle” which reminded me of the Korean cold noodles (guksu?) It was pretty decent.
There was a large menu of dessert options and boba drinks. We did not try these, but for the amazing prices, I think we will definitely return to try those and more dim sum options another time.
Service was okay.
Location is on the 2nd floor of Pearlridge Uptown next to the shabu shabu place, near the Ross wing.
