We checked out Ten Prime Seafood, the sister restaurant to Ten Prime Steak & Sushi, and had a great time before seeing a show at PPAC. It’s located where RES used to be. Layout feels familiar but with updated decor and new furniture.
We went for Appy Hour and sat at the bar. Their martinis are spirit‑forward; we ordered dirty martinis and they were excellent and… cost effective! We ended up trying everything on the Appy Hour menu and were really happy with all of it. Now we’re excited to come back and try their full entrée options.
The staff was super friendly, which always makes the experience good. Overall, it is a fun spot with good drinks, tasty food, and a nice atmosphere.

Delicious food and great service on JB’s behalf! The dirty martini girls want to know where the good blue cheese olives are, and this is it! From the local oysters (with the mignonette pearls on top), to the tuna tartare and salmon/tuna crispy rice, we were in food heaven.

Absolutely delicious meal and wonderful staff! Coat check and warm atmosphere. My friend and I got scallops and swordfish that was to die for! The servers were very kind when answering our questions too. Finished off with the crème brûlée which I highly recommend !

10 Prime Seafood is a welcome addition to the Trinity Theater neighborhood downtown. The renovation is clean, warm and beautiful, featuring gigantic windows looking out on the fabulous (and fabulously lit) theater building. Even the chandeliers (which look like a flock of oysters) and other ceiling lights fashioned like sharks (I think) are a wonder. Drinks are surprisingly reasonable, and include a selection of interesting nonalcoholic ones (I had a great prickly pear margarita, which is advertised as nonalcoholic but they added some alcohol when I asked). The menu has intriguing seafood entrees (as well as many starters), including the option to have some as simply prepared as possible. Four of us shared two tasty wedge salads. Two of us raved about their Faroe Island salmon entrees, while my husband enjoyed his (smallish) swordfish but wondered where any artichokes were as mentioned on the menu. My sesame-crusted tuna was seared perfectly rare, tho I missed the kick of wasabi described on the menu. We all shared two delicious desserts, the raspberry lemon and the chocolate sea salt caramel. The staff was charming, especially our server. Very enjoyable evening!

The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are constantly moving and the place has a really good vibe. That being said I was surprised that the beer I ordered wasn’t on tap but came from a can, but whatever, no biggie.
This place is great for drinks but skip the food. We ordered the chowder and sliders. If there are not parameters to define a soup versus a chowder then there should be. The chowder looked like a New England chowder but was so thin that is must of been made using the recipe from the old woman who lived in a shoe. The chowder had no flavor other than hot, which isn’t even a flavor.
We also ordered the sliders, two came on the plate and boy were they tiny. The menu advertised beef tenderloin but seemed more like a thick steakumm. There was waaaaaaay more onion then beef on these nibblers, which is probably why onion was all you could taste.
Should’ve gone anywhere else.

Walking into Ten Prime Seafood feels like going home for a family dinner and getting to see your siblings and cousins. Prana welcomed us to a creatively decorated restaurant setting. We were enveloped with care by Johnny and the rest of the staff. Then there’s the food. Each dish we had was beautifully and artistically presented and had a notably fresh and healthy eating sense to it. You can have a light bite – fresh caught and substantial shrimp, family recipe fish chowder, and substantive salad – or a full meal of dishes like swordfish or steak. Be prepared to be tempted by in house prepared desserts. We indulged in an amazing apple pie special with in house prepared gelato. We’ll be back, and thank you to the Ten Prime Seafood chefs and staff for a perfect culinary experience. Forgot to mention also that, for our first visit, manager Joe was first to set the warm and welcoming tone.

Have been twice now and both times were excellent. Big menu with great variety of surf and turf. Awesome cocktails and friendly service as well. A bit pricey but elevated and worth it. Great addition to Providence food scene!
