This has become one of my favorite coffee shops! I love taking my laptop with and working here for a few hours. The avocado toast is THE BEST I’ve ever had, and their iced matcha latte with lavender is my go-to drink order.

Went to get a latte – the cashier did not know how to work the register so it took quite a while to order.
They charge $1.50 extra for oat milk … this is crazy. Nobody is charging any extra for alternative milks in 2025, so this was wild. Need to look into changing this as it’s a blatant cash grab.
Overall – the latte was not good tasting and took almost 20 mins to come out.
I hope the food is good as I would not recommend.

Amazing place. Lovely ambience with a serene riverside view. Upon reaching the actual location it seemed like its a whole new world we are in. Even the drive leading to the coffee house was one of a kind i have never seen in Appleton. The food was good with a good number of vegetarian options, although a lot more should be added as far the flavors and texture of the dish is concerned. Prices were affordable. Coffee was pretty amazing for its presentation. I went with my husband and would love to visit this place more often during summer times

Not the place to go if you are pressed for time! I waited 45 minutes for a small iced mocha and a breakfast burrito. The service was incredibly slow and the staff was more interested in talking to each other than making the drinks for the line of people out the door. The drinks were good, but nothing special. I enjoyed the bacon breakfast burrito, but it was very expensive. There is plenty of seating outside on the patio. Parking is not easy to find since it’s in the apartment complex. It is a good spot to come and study or meet friends.

I loved the atmosphere at Tempest. It has a lot of windows making it bright and inviting. It is comfortable with different types of seating from a couch, to tables and chairs, to high top seating at the counter. I had the Sap Sugar Latte. It had a unique flavor that i enjoyed.

We love Tempest! It feels like a secret in Appleton that people don’t know about. It’s an escape in its location down on the river.

Great place to get excellent coffee, food and a nice view. It’s a bit confusing trying to locate it for the first time, but once you’re sipping on their coffee, you’ll find that it’s worth it. Yes – it’s facing the water and located below and within the apartment complex.
I ordered my usual go to – iced caramel latte. I knew going in that their sister company is Lawless, so I already had high expectations that were quickly lived up. They did a great job and the flavor was as I had hoped for. I also ordered the Green Shakshuka. I’m a huge tomatillo fan so when I say this, I mean this in the best way possible… it was really good, but it needed more of a base substance. I’ve reached the age where I need to carry tums on me for my heartburn for most meals. I ended up eating the egg, the pita bread and some of the tomatillo, but had to take the leftovers home to place it on top of some rice for dinner.
Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals as well. The service was friendly and I look forward to trying more items on their menu.

Really tasty lavender honey latte. Food was ok. I had the smoked salmon w eggs and potatoes. Mom had avocado toast. Good place to stop in and not worry about leftovers. With that said, the menu is more expensive than I anticipated. Hot lattes are always a pain to carry; maybe get to-go cup or iced if differently-abled or if you shake or have balance issues because those coffee cups are wide and easy to spill. Good place for quiet conversations w views of water. Lots of nice plants. Bathroom was clean.
