Order ahead.
This establishment is take-out only.
Which is great as you get to judge strictly based on the food quality.
I thought it’s one of the best – balanced Efo that I’ve had in a long while. Absolutely worth the price.
Could use more protein(assorted meats) but still very satisfied with overall experience and I will try it again any day of the week.
Owner is graceful and responsive too. Communicates promptly and is graceful.

I didn’t tip as I was yet to taste the food. Next time I surely will tip for it is a healthy meal.

My husband and I wanted to try African food in Iowa and decided to visit Temi. I had the vegetable soup with eba — my first time trying it — and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. My husband had the beef suya, which was perfectly seasoned and tender, with fresh, crispy onions and tomatoes on the side. The spice level was just right! On top of the amazing food, Temi’s customer service was truly top-notch. Highly recommend stopping by whenever you’re in Iowa!

My family and I were visiting Des Moines for the first time from Canada and were craving some correct Nigerian food! Thankfully, a random Google search brought us to Temi’s kitchen.

First, she is a very warm and kind person who was very flexible with our orders. Not only did she oblige a random request that we had, but she put it together with so much finesse.

Then her food…We ordered the efo riro, egusi with poundo, gizzard with pomo, smoked/grilled chicken and some asun. The taste is 100% authentic, Naija food with the right amount of everything. My family thoroughly enjoyed it, and we will definitely recommend her 1000%.

Temi, please expect a repeat order if we ever find ourselves in the area again. Well done!!

Absolutely incredible!
Temi’s kitchen literally saved me! When those pregnancy cravings hit me so hard I was so sad that I could not find a Nigerian restaurant in the Des Moines area. Then my hubby suprised me with a pan of hot Smokey jollof rice and peppered goat meat from Temi’s kitchen! It was really delicious. Everything we’ve ordered from here has always hit the right spot!

Best African food I have had since I came to Des Moines. She was very flexible and allowed to customize my order. In order words I was not limited to the menu.

I would definitely recommend this place if you want some good African food
