Tekkaba was so good! The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside you can really taste the quality. The sandos were fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying.
Everything was beautifully presented and made with care. The portions were generous, and the sauces paired perfectly with the dishes.
The atmosphere was clean and modern, and the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Went for my best friends birthday dinner & had an amazing time !!! The service was amazing ! They were super personable by learning our names & explaining everything very well. They were both so sweet & chef was very funny to talk to. They Always made sure we were well taken care of. Enjoyed the conversation & especially the food. Each dish was delicious, and every time I tried something it became my favourite! I will definitely be coming back as the quality of the food and service was spectacular. Ended the meal absolutely full.

really yummy food. and tom was super nice and passionate over every dish. every dish had a unique taste and he welcomed everyone to let him know if there were any dishes they did not want to eat. another couple were upset at the prices but you should look at the menu before booking instead of complaining after the meal. go check it out as it’s relatively on the cheaper side for omakase.

Amazing experience, every single dish of the omakase experience was phenomenal. The attention to detail, the clear care for the ingredients, patrons and their craft is evident.
Even though this was one of the more expensive restaurants I’ve been to, we will be returning.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Tekkaba! I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking to try omakase. Everything on the menu is fresh and super delicious, and the service from Tom and Ellie is excellent!

We came here for a birthday dinner and took up 70% of the restaurants capacity so this experience was based on a group setting. I chose to sit at the bar which has about 6 seats so we were directly served by Chef Tom himself.
Every dish was unique in its own way and the sushi was all super fresh and can definitely taste the difference in each fish. Chef would was direct us to use certain dipping sauces that were specific to each dish so that we would taste every item in the omakase set the way he intended.
Overall love the experience and for the price of $78/person before tip for 12 course Omakase is a bargain !!

We tried the premium dinner omakase for $118/person. Although the dishes were not bad, none of them stood out for the price point that we were spending. Tom was an energetic and friendly host, but we just felt that the dishes and sushi were quite average and very similar to something you could find in a sushi chain restaurant in terms of taste. For us personally, we also found that the sushi rice was too sweet which took away from the flavors of the fish and other ingredients. Ambience is interesting but feels a little bit disjointed with a grand piano, and a poker table in the back. Overall, if you are looking for an omakase experience, you may enjoy this – but in terms of culinary taste, I would not generally recommend at this price point.

Tom and Ellie were exceptionally nice, and throughout the dine I loved that I learned so much about omakase.
Food portions are adequate and I felt full at the end of the course.

What a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the premium lunch that day for a birthday celebration. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, I would say the price point is amazing for what you are getting. I think the folks with the lower ratings need to be more reasonable with your expectations. The higher expectations can be satisfied at the omakase restaurants that charge $300-400+ per person.
Chef Tom and wife Ellie were very friendly and provided amazing service from beginning to end. You can tell that Chef Tom really enjoys his craft through his introduction and his path to becoming a chef. The culinary experience was exceptional, and this place is definitely a hidden gem.
