Fantastic BBQ served with a big Texas smile! You’ve got to try the brisket, the crust is amazing. I could’ve sat and crunched on the crust all night. What a wonderful blend of spices with just a slight sweetness. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and also full of delicious flavors. I enjoyed the Cole slaw as well. It’s unique but tasty with a bit of a tang. Don’t forget to save room for a chocolate truffle. There is definitely a flavor you will like.

I’ll be back for sure. There are so many other options I want to try!! Meats, sides, desserts

Visited this community icon for family lunch today after years of driving by and staring despondently at the long lines! Was relatively thinly attended today, at least when we visited 1/2 hr after opening. Crowds started arriving thereafter. Ordering from the menu was all family style and a-la carte. No platters on offer unlike at other BBQ places. Ordered Brisket, Chile Relleno Sausage Links, Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Loaded Baker with Sausage, Pinto Beans, and Dark Double Beck’s to drink. A chilly winter’s day – perfect for gloriousTX BBQ! Food arrived promptly and was very tasty/flavorful.Brisket was par for the course while the Sausages and Burnt Ends stole the day! Fantastic fare! Dined in the covered patio outside and the occasional chilly air coming through was most welcome. The restaurant originally started as a homemade Chocolate store and branched out to BBQ. Located off Main Street, with the restaurant entrance facing Elm Street in downtown Tomball, TX. Not cheap by any means – dropped over $200 for a party of five including tips, but well worth a visit!

Food is delicious. I got the brisket & chile relleno sausage potato with the poblano Mac & cheese. Everything had flavor. The bbq sauce is really good. Very clean. Calm atmosphere. I sat outside & enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely be coming back and I also recommend anyone to try this spot out atleast 1x if you’re in the area

I give it a 7/10. The food was good overall, and I was impressed with the barbecue. Now it was a little dry, but nothing to complain too much about. That said, spending around $150 for lunch for two adults and a 7 year old child felt a bit steep for me.

The only thing I wasn’t really a fan of was the casseroles. Aside from that, I wouldn’t mind recommending the place to others, just a fair warning to save a few pennies before you go.

I just had one of the best restaurant experiences ever! We drove out to Old Tomball to grab some food at Tejas Chocolate & BBQ!

We ate some Brisket Nachos while we were there and ordered some meat and sides by the pound togo!

The Nachos were amazing! And, the queso was phenomenal.

We also got a 4 pack of Truffles togo! The Cinnamon Bun Truffle was the #1 best by far!

Now let me get to the good part…. this restaurant is one of the most haunted places in Old Town Tomball!!!!!!!

EEKKKKK If you know me than you know this is my ultimate jive!

Between the food adventures, my dogs and haunted experiences…. my total happy place!!!

I will be dropping my video experience soon. I highly recommend giving them a try!!!

Brisket baked potato was 3 1/2 stars….. not much meat on the potato!!!! the chili relleno sausage was amazing!!! the bacon coleslaw was very vinegary!!
Chocolate is strong!!!! Oooey gooey !!! not sweet …. I was hoping the salted caramel truffle would be sweet in the middle, but it was semi sweet and not good.!!!!! but I guess that’s what a “truffle” is! Excellent wait staff!

Went to Tejas on a Saturday. Not a long line. Waited about 20 minutes. Staff and service was great and quick. I got brisket, saucy crispy ribs, and chile relleno sausage for the meats. For the sides I got the loaded pinto beans and broccoli cheese casserole. The meats were the star. Brisket was rendered and had great taste. The crispy ribs were my favorite. Crispy, smokey, and covered in a great sauce. Enjoyed how it was different from traditional ribs. The sausage was also packed with flavor and a little spice. Sides were okay. I would highly recommend for some great BBQ in the Tomball area.

As a Texas Monthly Top 100 BBQ award and a Michelin award winner located in Old Town Tomball, and it’s clear why this spot, with its charming indoor and outdoor dining areas, has been recognized. While it has moved from its previous Top 50 ranking, the food remains a great experience.

The brisket was deliciously smoked, though I found the bark to be a little too salty for my taste. Despite that, the meat itself was fantastic. The ribs were hearty and very tender, and the pork belly had a nice flavor, but was a little on the dry side.

The pork belly burnt ends were a unique treat. They were covered in a spicy barbecue sauce, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer a fruity base like peach or apricot.

The absolute standout was the sausage. It was a perfectly cooked, double-grind sausage with a delicious chili relleno taste. It was cheesy and had an excellent flavor that made it one of my favorite sausage offerings to date.

For the sides, the carrot soufflé was a highlight. It was delicious with a smooth texture and only a hint of carrot, making it an excellent and unique side.

To top it all off, there’s a chocolate shoppe attached to the restaurant, so a chocolate dessert is an absolute must after your meal. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for a truly enjoyable barbecue experience.
