We called today to ask about the pork and kraut special. Natalie who answered the phone was super polite and professional.

Once we got our food home it was all downhill.

The pork was tough, unseasoned, and mostly fat. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant.

I called to talk to someone because it honestly was just that bad. When I spoke to the manager, Danny, he was flippant at first then just plain rude and dismissive. When I said the pork wasn’t seasoned he told me that’s how it had to be because “we have a lot of elderly customers”. And when I asked him if he thought that’s something they may want to tell customers prior to ordering he got irritated with me.

Told me I had to bring it back for a refund; fine. I asked if I could bring it in the next day as I wasn’t driving back out again the same night. He said sure, but “it better mostly be there because if it isn’t Ron (the other manager) won’t give you a refund.”

I then started to tell him how this was our first experience with TeeJays being newer to the area and based on this interaction would probably be our last. He was condescending calling me honey and told me to never come back to the restaurant as “he won’t be insulted”. When I asked where in the conversation I insulted him he couldn’t answer because, shocker, I didn’t.

I’ve worked as a server and I’ve worked in customer service. This man is horrible at it. I don’t subscribe to the whole “the customer is always right” adage because usually customer can be difficult. But my valid concerns were met with blatant rudeness and it sucks. You guys need to do better.

My Family came together to have breakfast. Great place to eat and affordable. Always busy but didn’t have to wait.

Country fried steak was completely covered is gravy overlapping my eggs and hash browns. I had to scrape off a ton of gravy just to get to the steak and still gravy is all I tasted. The sirloin steak was so bloody it turned the mash potatoes rec and I asked for medium. Will not go back. Had to get up and get my own ketchup after asking the waitress.

It’s pretty much country breakfast when you can get Mush… it’s hearty and not healthy so it fits the bill. Great service, friendly staff, flavors are fine. All in all a breakfast from the Midwest at its finest.

Service with a smile and old town feel. Had the classic country fried steak. But something about the *famous chipped gravy** just didn’t set right with me. Tasted like I was eating a block of butter. Idk if this is normal or if something went wrong. Other plates walking by looked yummy but definitely not mine.

Very calming and relaxing atmosphere. My waitress was so nice and very attentive. I had the Children Fried Steak and it was the best that I have had in a long time. The portions were huge and very reasonable priced! Had more than enough for leftovers for later.

We go on weekend mornings for breakfast. Sometimes it’s busy and there’s a wait. We always get the barnyard buster and it’s always hot, fresh, and delicious. The price is perfect and easy on a budget. The waitress is always polite, quick, and tentative to our table. I love this place.

They have salted caramel chocolate coffee mate creamer cups. It’s impossible to buy this flavor at the grocery store and I love it’s flavor!

Had the pork tenderloin My friend had the upside down pineapple French toast. They both were amazing. Only problem was, there wasn’t more ( the portions were fine, I’m just saying bc it was so good.) My stomach was saying NO!! but my mouth was screaming YESSSS!!! SERVICE WAS GREAT! Nice, quiet country setting.
