The food was amazing as always! My kids first time here so it was awesome they loved the food. We came at a busy time so the wait was a little long, but the line did move pretty decently. 3 of us got foot long w fries you get to choose what you want on a freshly char grilled sahlens hot dog. My other son got 2 hot dogs w onion rings freshly made and tasted amazing. Staff was friendly and awesome!

On a windy November evening, we stopped at Ted’s Hot Dogs in West Seneca, NY during a long road trip from Pittsburgh, and it was exactly the break we needed. My wife ordered her go-to hot dog topped with chili, cheese, and bacon, and she absolutely loved it.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted, so the chef jokingly suggested his favorite creation—a grilled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce, mayo, and lettuce. I took his recommendation and added diced onions, and I’m glad I did. It was fantastic. We also shared an order of onion rings and fries, which were hot, crispy, and delicious.
Our food came out quickly, right as the restaurant was starting to get busy. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered, and the service was friendly and attentive. Great spot for a quick, tasty stop—highly recommended!
As a bonus, the lights went out for 10 seconds.

One of my favorite quick-eat places when visiting Buffalo. Ted’s is a unique experience, a simply delicious hometown delicacy, where one hotdog isn’t ever enough. This is not fast food but instead an experience not to be rushed. I personally enjoy watching the hotdogs being grilled carefully over flaming charcoal by the grill-master. Note, hamburgers are also served. Very clean bathrooms.
We were famished after trimming the backyard hedges and chose Ted’s for lunch. We ordered two hotdogs each (mustard, onion, relish, pickles), a side order of fresh fries, and an incredibly delicious strawberry shake. Double yum! Holding it all together perfectly was a high-quality very delicious bun. So good! A few days later we returned to Ted’s for another classic lunch. I am never disappointed by this uniquely classic Buffalo hotdog. It is an experience!

Ted’s is a no funny business, quick in quick out, get a good dog, have an enjoyable lunch, and leave happy type place. I love it. Its truly a Buffalo staple and the best place for a Sahlens footlong.

First good and this is review for the one on union road. Love the charbroiled hot dogs. The inside is clean and nothing too fancy, but I love it. The atmosphere one star is to call attention to January 15, 2026 event where the heat was off and you could see your breath in the inside. Talking to one of the staff it was revealed that they have this happen twice a year. So maybe add a fireplace to the dining area for events like this. Would love to hear a response from management on addressing this. Even the workers had a small space heater to keep warm and were using the hot coals from the hot dog grill to keep warm. Froze my butt off on the cold seats along with a few other customers. Still loved my hot dog and fries! Loved the reply from management! Raise to full 5 stars!!

Pro-Went there for their Happy Hour Deal . Great deal hot dogs were perfect.
Con- Not busy but place was pretty dirty. Straw wrappers and napkins all over the place. Half the tables were filthy. Nothing wiped down even there looked like they had plenty of workers.

We visited for lunch. I had a bacon double cheeseburger, my wife had a chicken sandwich, and one of my sons had a regular hot dog.
The food was delicious. The service team was very friendly. The dining room was clean and very relaxing.

Im visiting from texas and a few people raved about this place. It was good but I was kinda disappointed. My order was wrong but I didn’t notice until I had already gone back to my hotel. My burger though incorrect was pretty good, my hot dog also incorrect was still really good! The fries were good, onion rings eh. They forgot my potato salad and instead gave me another order of onion rings.

First time in NY and I was not disappointed. I got a chili cheese dog and some chili cheese fries. It was soooo good.
One tiny thing, the cheese tasted from a can but it was still good. That one thing could be better but I’d still come back. I am not a huge fan of hotdogs but I love when I am impressed!! I’d definitely come back. Oh and the fries, omg! Such yummy !!!

Food sat in a pile on the grill till it was our turn to pay. Rolls were dried out, onion ring we not cooked completely, still had raw dough on them. Completely disappointed
