Visiting Albany, searched for “best restaurants”, and many said this was a must-try spot.
Service was excellent. Friendly and efficient.
Food was good, not amazing. Ordered a seafood mixed platter, with fish n chips, fried shrimp, fried clams, and fried scallops.
Fish was good, as were the fries. Shrimp was okay, not much flavor, and scallops were very rubbery. The fried clams were the standout, but weren’t many of them.
For $20, I expected either a lot of mediocre food, or a portion of delicious seafood. It was a mediocre portion of mediocre seafood. Good thing there was a hot dog bun, so I could stuff food into it to try and fill myself up.
Decent spot, might be the best seafood spot in Albany, but not worth going out of your way for, in my opinion. Tables were still wet from being wiped down, but otherwise Clean.

The fried fish is good. However, as you might guess it is all fried food. The last time we were here, it was also good.
So I gave it 3 stars, because it is all fried and you don’t want to make it a habit out of eating this way.

Ordered two lunch specials to go. Fries cooled off quickly even though was eating it right away. Unusual red relish sauce was a disappointment as we were expecting regular tartar sauce. Fish portion was a good size and crispy.

Fantastic experience. The fish was delectably fried, and crisp to perfection. The Mountain Dew was fresh from the green mountains, a lovely way to foreshadow our trip to beautiful Vermont. The tartar sauce was wonderfully creamy and hit all the right taste buds. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptionally professional. Even the most absurd request would be honored. The friers were revved from the second we entered. The bathroom was perfectly warm and spotless. So warm as It almost felt like Ted was frying me.

Stopped by here because it was close to my hotel. Order cod and fried oysters. They were really good especially the oysters. Before I left the area I stopped by again. The food was not the same. The food upset my stomach. I also ordered a grill chicken sandwich this time. By far the worse grill chicken sandwich I ever had.

Excellent fish fry! Fresh, flakey, cod! So nice especially with some malt vinegar on a hot dog bun…. Quick, efficient service. Nice booths and tables inside and tables outside too for those sunny warm days.

This is a very good restaurant. There are two very friendly people at the counter, one to take orders and prepare drinks and the other to operate the register and pull up the correct orders from the cooks. All very efficient. We ordered the fried fish with tartar sauce and onion rings as our option over regular fries. Very tasty. Nice location close to the Albany Airport for a quick meal before a flight!

Sweet potato fries were medium-thick and tasty. My fish was battered and cooked perfectly. It comes with a bun so you can also eat it like a hot dog. They don’t have mac or potato salad. Yum.
