I had not been to Ted’s in more than 10 years, back when it was near 71st and 129th. Took the family and kept my expectations low, because I wasn’t a big fan of Ted’s before. The food was fine and the atmosphere was just okay. The young guy that waited on us was awesome. I know a lot of people like Ted’s cheese dip, but it’s not for me. Prices are high on apps and entrees because of the free cheese dip, salsa, chips, tortillas and sopapillas. But if you don’t care about that free stuff and don’t eat much of it, then you aren’t getting a good deal. The pictured Asada Cheese Fries looked great, and it was huge, but it was over $16 and hardly had any meat on it…just bits here and there. It was basically just cheese fries with a few steak crumbles. My wife’s Monterey Chicken was the best thing we had. It just wasn’t good enough for me to come back.

Ted’s Restaurant Review: Small Location, Big Flavor
Stopping at Ted’s is a tradition for us, and this time was no exception. The closest location we found was smaller than the ones we’re used to—but don’t let that fool you. Ted’s still delivers all the bold flavors and generous hospitality that make it a favorite.
From the moment we sat down, the experience was classic Ted’s:
Free cheese dip, salsa, and warm tortillas—always a welcome start.
️ The service was friendly and fast, and the food came out hot and flavorful.
And of course, the complimentary sopapillas at the end were the perfect sweet finish.
Even in a more compact space, Ted’s doesn’t cut corners. It’s still the same delicious tradition we look forward to every time.

The service was great for a large group of middle school cheerleaders! Fast, friendly, knowledgeable. Food was as amazing as usual. I asked for sour cream sauce over all enchiladas and they were more than willing to make that happen.

Really hate to put this out there! Been going to Ted’s for many years, never had food this bad. Made me ill for 2 days. Staff nice and helpful. But, the refried beans were soupy. The chicken didn’t taste right. Thought it might be seasoning. So be warned.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Great TexMex. Haven’t tried anything I didn’t like – it’s all good. It might get a bit loud sometimes but I am more sensitive about that than most.

Hannah was our server and she did amazing! I got the best Mexican tacos and they were so good! A great atmosphere with a friendly staff! My group definitely had to get the complimentary sopapillas to end a great dinner. Definitely recommend to everyone.

This was my firt time at this location. The setting is nice and has the new corporate restraunt feel.
The food was better that I really remember, but the queso is still a miss to me. Its definitely from a can, and they yellow queso feels very unathentic, even for tex-mex, and seems watered down. Their atomic salsa is dang good though.
Service was good. Had a new guy learning, but others were helping cover his responsibilities a d seemed yo really have good patience with him. Really appreciated that for him.
Will likely come back.

Well now, the food here is simply wonderful, and that salsa is top-notch! Our server, Miss Kailee, was absolutely awesome, bless her heart. She didn’t just serve us; she made us feel right at home, like we were just visiting with friends. She had this wonderful, easygoing energy, and she made sure my drink was never low and that our salsa and queso never ran out. My family just loves this cafe—when the delicious chips, salsa, and queso make it to the table, you know you’re in for a good time. Great food, wonderful service, and a feeling like family!
