First time here and it was amazing. We loved the decor and the old time diner feel. We did take out but next time we will eat in. The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and asked if we wanted for the tamale boat the cheese separately. That was nice of them. Normally they will just put it on there without asking. The hamburger was simply huge. Very juicy and cooked to order. Can highly recommend!

Love it here. Close to home, easy access from two main roads, and always the best Italian ice. Whether it’s 30 minutes to closing and the dead of winter freeze, they still serve me the best Italian ice with a smile.
When it’s not close to closing time I order food, and it is amazing. The visit (every one) is always clean friendly and “made to your request”. ~delicous.
The vibe/theme here makes for great Instagram sock hop pictures. Of course you’ll be doing that while your order is being prepared, because you are a good person.

This is one great italian beef sandwich with liquid cheese that gave this a unique texture to compliment the peppery and flavorful meat.
The hot giardeneria was also excellent add-on.
Freshly cooked crinkle fries was salty and fluffy. An delicious side to the cheesy Italian beef. It’s messy so have lots of napkins.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating as I asked to have the sandwich cut in half.

I have been going to Teddy’s for many years. Teddy’s is the best place to get from a hotdog with everything or a Taylor Street Polish. Now there Italian beef is the best around. Now make it a combo by adding Italian sausage. Now that’s that good eating. Oh you must get it full dipped. Add the homemade Italian ice for afterwards.

This place is awesome. I’ve been to all the top rated spots, Johnnie’s, Al’s, etc, and Teddy’s Italian Beef is as good as any, highly recommend. The Italian ice is also incredible!

Not what I expected
it was my first time here. Overall, it was ok. first off the restaurant is clean and classic looking. the staff are friendly.
The hotdogs were not that great. They are tiny and mediocre. the bread was a little dry. The Italian beef was the winner here. The prices are a little high for what you get. I rather go to portillos than here.

This place has one of the best Italian beefs in the Chicago area, hands down! The meat is sliced on the thinner side and is delicious. The beef is served on fresh Turano bread and they soak it real nice with delicious juice. The giardinera is home made deliciousness, I had their beef twice now and am hooked! The Italian sausage is one of the best I’ve had and with that layer of gravy at the bottom, oh man, damn good! I ordered the double burger with no veggies so I could get a true taste of the meat and not only did they nail it as medium rare as requested, the burger was huge and my big appetite couldn’t finish it! The meat is tasty and addictive, Teddy’s is now one of my favorites!

This might be the best place in the area for Chicago style food. Restaurant was very clean. All the hotdog ingredients were freshly sliced. The Combo Italian Beef and Sausage I had was excellent with Sweat Peppers and Hot Extra Juicy. Great hidden Gem for Chicago Style Food. If your in the area Its a must stop!

I went back to Teddy’s! The owner said hey! You were right about the paper! I was so confused. And I remembered I put a review about a year ago about how the flavor was different and the paper used to wrap the dog was inferior! But he remembered that review?! And he changed the paper? That’s what makes Teddy’s special! It’s a family owned owner operated business! They notice the smallest things and make the necessary changes to retain customers! They look at us rather than the dollar and cents! And guess what the hot dog was killer today! The fries were delicious I almost finished the bags before getting home thankfully he threw in extra fries! Thank you Teddy’s! I can’t wait to come back!
