This is a small hole in the wall restaurant. I normally prefer these but this 1 didn’t quite meet my expectations. The food wasn’t bad, just nothing to write home about. I had the California Burrito. It wasn’t bad but when I asked the ingredients the waitress forgot to mention it had onions & I can’t eat onions. The service was excellent. The waitress kept my tea full & checked on me regularly. The atmosphere was a little too quiet for me. No music, TV etc…

Really good, traditional Mexican food. After having been to Mexico a few times I’d say they are really close to what Americans will eat but is authentically Mexican. We had the Hawaiian Quesadillas and the Chicken Chimichanga. Super filling. I brought home almost half of mine. The restaurant is not large but the booths are built up on platforms and they have created a sweet atmosphere with the space. Authentic Salsa music playing throughout the evening. Kind waitress who was attentive and quick to help.

Ordered takeout. Super impressed! Good food, nicely presented for takeout, Chimichanga sauce and sour cream was packaged separately so that your food didn’t get soggy. Lettuce/tomatos also separate from entre to keep fresh and not soggy. Well done Tecolotes!!!

I’ve tried a lot of Mexican places around the KC area over the years. Very few places can pull off authentic Mexican with flavor and non greasy or too spicy food. Best chimichanga I have ever eaten, hands down! We tried a variety of tacos, nothing was disappointing. Definitely looking forward to eating here again!

Birria Tacos were GREAT! The dine in area is very chill and has a great hispanic atmosphere. Free chips & salsa and the menus were short but very direct. Mexican hot chocolate was great for the cold season and the portions are fairly filling!

I am obsessed with the chimichanga. They package it great for to go so it’s still perfect to eat at home. I can’t speak to any other items because I can’t ever not order that. So good!
