My wife and I dropped by for a cocktail a Saturday afternoon in late May.
The bar has a nice selection of beverages – and really nice craft cocktails.

My food (lamb) was very good.
My problems are with the service, and the plethora of taxes(?).
Apparently they were severely understaffed. Getting refills on drinks was way slow. The salt in the wound was the “large party” charge of 20% for 7 people. I understand group party charges, but it’s nice when a server busts their ass knowing this will be coming. That did not happen here.
A breakdown of the extra charges;

Mixed beverage tax
My total before handing over my credit card: $74
My total after running the credit card: $90
I had visited one time before just for drinks. There had been live music, and the appetizer was fantastic. This time (Friday 6-730p), no music. The appetizers were not at the same level.
I do not intend on going back.

A sad state of affairs. Walking in the pungent odor of cigar smoke lingered in the air.
We were welcomed by a waitress who said she was the manager. She informed us the award winning chef is leaving to start her own place in Dallas and Teatro will probably become a pub and the restaurant was struggling. She turned out to be the “manager” the bartender and our waitress.
We ordered martinis but were told they were out of Tito’s. We then were given the only two olives they had in stock.
I ordered the lamb but was later informed they were out of lamb as the one other table in use took it all.
I asked for bread , it finally came.
After changing my order the food arrived and frankly it was outstanding.
I was asked what dessert I would like for my birthday, it was a slice of cheesecake. We asked for coffee but their coffee machine was broken.
The bill came, we paid it. The waitress returned to tell us it was the wrong tab and refunded our first charge.
The new bill included a charge for bread, a charge for my birthday dessert and a credit card surcharge.
Great food, horrible service and availability of products.

DO NOT GO, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! My wife and I had a reservation for our anniversary, however we left as soon as we walked. The reason you may ask? Violent behavior by the chef, I heard her name was Chef Carla I’m pretty sure, anyways, as soon as we walked in all we hear is screaming, and we look over to see her yelling in front of a waitresses face! No one in the food industry has any business acting like that! We will not be returning. Spoiled experience on our anniversary!

This place is amazing!! The waiter was so attentive and welcoming and the bread, meatballs, pork chop, chicken parm, tiramisu, and drinks were all 10/10. This place deserves way more attention and recognition. I’ve had Michelin star pork chop before and the pork chop from Teatro tops it by FAR!! It is so flavorful and moist. We had a chance to speak with the owner/culinary director Carla and she was so kind. Would definitely recommend taking the time to try this place.

Wow! My husband and I enjoyed the best dinner tonight! The Mediterranean salad was incredibly fresh. The pork chops with peppers and chicken parmigiana were superb! Delicious cocktails and dessert too! The atmosphere and staff were on point which added to an amazing evening! Thank you! We will be back!
