Great boba! And great coffee! I got the brown sugar iced latte with boba and my partner got the regular brown sugar milk tea with boba and they were both phenomenal. The cups were such great quality!!!

We decided to try their beef Ramen. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. I added some of the spicy chili oil and some soy and it was a little bit better but I don’t think the patrons of food need to be adding things to their food to make it taste better. It’s okay if you want to make it spicier things like that but when it lacks flavor there’s nothing you can do. We also had the shrimp tempura and all it was is a batter dip not a true tempura

I got the boba + ramen combo set and it was really good. The whole set was $20 and was pretty worth it because you can choose any ramen and any drink. I got the brown sugar milk tea and it was pretty good. Although it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, it was still pretty good. My only complaint was that the boba was a little bit too sweet for my liking. The boba came in this really cool container instead of a normal plastic one with a wrap on top. The broth of the ramen was pretty good and thick and tasty. The bamboo didn’t taste good but everything else was good.

Teachana in the Novo Asian Food Hall has the best ramen in Pittsburgh in my opinion. The broth was rich, the chashu pork was charred and flavorful, and the seasoned egg made the dish. We ordered the ramen combo which came with a big bowl of ramen and a milk tea for $20, not a bad deal.

Inside the Novo Asian Food Hall (think food court) this restaurant offers bubble tea and other drinks as well as some food selections. I ordered the shrimp(4) tempura for $8 and wish it would have come with a few vegetables. I would have ordered them separately but, for $8 more, I’d rather not. It’s a little pricey at this stand. Their taro milk tea with boba was really good.

Update in July: So I got this boba combination again 3 months later… and the boba has changed I’m so sad I thought this place was the best boba in Pittsburgh but not anymore for me. It wouldn’t be a terrible change if the boba didn’t have this weird after taste, kinda chemically and it’s hard to describe. The smoothie hasn’t changed so that’s good. The price has stayed the same so my guess is they switched to a different boba brand to keep the price from rising, but honestly I’d rather pay more for good quality than pay anything for something I’m unhappy with. Needless to say I’m sad by the changes but I’m sure the rest of the menu is good! Food is the most important thing to me so I’m rating this a 3 to match my food rating but service and atmosphere are still great.

March: I LOVE THIS BOBA. I got the strawberry smoothie with added strawberry boba. I really enjoyed this drink and I would recommend to anyone it was a bit pricey at 6.99 but I think it was worth it because you also get this cool reusable cup. 10/10 recommend.

Pretty good teas with some fun specials! The Hazelnut Coconut Latte is okay, the highlight is the coconut jelly they put in, but you couldn’t really get the hazelnut as much as just coconut and coffee, would come and try some other specials next time.

Very average bubble tea and expensive for the quantity. But I don’t believe that a lot of bubble tea options in the area, so this might be your best bet if You’re in the strip district. If you are in general, looking for bubble tea, I would head to squirrel Hill for much more options.

I paid $6.99 plus tax for a bubble tea drink that lacked customization. I was disappointed I couldn’t change a topping for another without paying an additional fee and that the employee didn’t ask for my preferences for sugar or ice levels. As a result, the drink ended up being too sweet. Perhaps kiosks would streamline the ordering experience.

I asked the cashier his preferences between tempura and squid and tonkotsu ramen and braised beef soup. I took his recommendations for shrimp tempura and beef noodle soup! They were both hot, fresh, and delicious!! Loved the beef noodle 5 spice soup with braised radish, tender beef and a pile of cilantro. Shrimps were crispy and tender with yummy light sauce for dipping. Stoked to have a favorite noodle bowl and a bar with interesting and food friendly selections.
