Always do take out here. Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. You never wait longer than 15 minutes for whatever you order. This place is always very busy and it looks like they remodeled the inside of the restaurant and it looks very nice. I love their beef teriyaki and crab ragoons and the signature egg roll. (which is pretty big).

Tea Cafe used to be located around the corner across from Walgreens in Pepperell, now they are located at a new location where there used to be a pizza restaurant. I have to say their food quality now is supberb with generous portions and the taste is almost as good as the authentic ones in China. Service could use some help since they have more customers now. If you want local authentic Chinese food, this place the best by far in this area.

Beware of the menu online. I ordered the Mongolian Beef Sizzling Platter (comes with BOTH beef AND scallops per the description on their website). My takeout order contained ZERO scallops and when I called to let them know, I was treated VERY RUDELY by a female employee who INSISTED that I was wrong about the scallops and that the website designer was at fault. SHE put the phone down THREE times on me to assist other customers before finally refunding my misadvertised menu item. Brush up on your customer service skills because they SUCK.

No chicken in the General Gau’s chicken.
Ordered the General Gau’s chicken and there’s virtually zero chicken in this dish. Just balls of fried, chewy dough. Legitimately the worst version of this dish I’ve ever experienced. Inedible and threw it away.

Wow! Pleasantly surprised with this place, especially after reading some bad reviews.
However, we were short on time and this place was close.
The shrimp foo young was really good. Unfortunately, there were some shrimp which hadn’t been deveined. I should’ve asked… I know some places don’t devein the shrimp.
Next time I will order egg foo young instead .
Steamed shrimp & veggies: delicious!
Teriyaki beef & spareribs with a side of chicken wing: yum!
Chicken with broccoli & chicken fingers on the side: tasty!
Humongous portions. Too many leftovers so next time we may share dishes & order less.
