This place and the food is amazing. The ambiance and the flavor of EVERYTHING I ordered was delicious. I had fried okra,vcucumber salad and boiled peanuts – they were the best. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here sitting and taking a load off from a busy Friday. The weather was perfect tonight. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

The backyard in Ocoee is a fantastic atmosphere. No complaints there. But I went there tonight (Sunday, 2/22) and they were out of brisket so I got pulled chicken. I was very hungry, so I ordered a pound of it. It had such a bad freezer burned taste. My girlfriend tried it and said the same. I should’ve brought it back but chickened out.
Anyways, I understand that these things happen.. the vendor may have sold them a bad batch. No clue what happened. Based on all the 5 star reviews here, I imagine the food is usually great.
What earned the 1 star was the service and lack of concern when I told the guy serving the food about the issue. I started by telling him that I didn’t want my money back and just wanted him, if he’s the business owner, or for him to tell the business owner, that the chicken is not good because surely, they are not aware. And that I had to throw half of it away.
He said “okay, I’ll let him know”….
That was it. A “sorry for the inconvenience” would’ve gone A LONG way for me in this scenario after paying $23 for some of the worst chicken I’ve ever eaten. It literally tasted like it was turned into pulled chicken, then put in the freezer for 2 years without a cover, then microwaved to prepare for me. Even with the delicious barbecue sauce smothering it, the chicken tasted like ice tray.
Again, I wouldn’t have been bothered had I been treated properly as a paying customer.
I also purchased baked beans and slaw. Both were great.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering their brisket, ribs, Mac n cheese, and slaw. It was SO GOOD. The sauces placed on top of the meat was both sweet and tangy. The sides were perfection. The Smokey flavor of the brisket and ribs were so delicious. If you’re a fan of BBQ, highly recommend!

Excellent brisket sliders, the chicken wings were equally delicious with the perfect amount of smoke. The peach bourbon cheesecake was wonderful with very fresh, flavorful peaches. Highly recommended!
