This is what $16 ($18 because tip culture) will get u at Tays for a take out sandwich. They say 8 inch but it’s barely 7 with less meat than a quarter pounder and a cold fries. I live 5 min from Tay’s and these were barely warm when I ate the first one when I got in my car. It was 10:30 when I picked up the food so they can’t blame time or lunch rush for this. For a premium price I would expect a lot more but damn shrinkflation and lying to customers is getting out of hand. I would highly recommend not overpaying for this.

My coworker and I split the cheesy tay’s and a side of seasoned fries. The sandwich had that classic steak and onion vibe but with some extra cheese that hit right. The fries were tasty and came hot with just enough seasoning. The crew there did their thing smoothly even if they kept things low key. The place had a relaxed feel so we could talk while we ate. I would definitely come back for another lunch there.

I’m not a huge cheese steak fan but I love Tay’s burgers so I figured I would try it. Needless to say it was awesome the staff was super friendly the food came out quick. And it was fresh. I highly recommend coming and giving them a try! Great food, great atmosphere, super friendly people.

Delicious, juicy, tender cheesesteak with great fries on the side. Definitely on the pricier side tho, I believe I paid $16 for the smaller sized regular cheesesteak. Still good though if it fits your budget!

Well it is a well put together cheesesteak… I tried the Travolta which is their top seller but realized I wanted closer to an original cheesesteak with cheese whiz. I did try the cheesesteak fries which were really good… Maybe even better than the sandwich. Also offering a solid Reuben and you can also have pastrami if you’d like and it was a appropriately priced. Ruben, also meats all necessary criteria.
Tay’s hamburgers are really out of this world so I was hoping that the cheesesteak would be too, but I would say Jersey Mike’s is even a better cheesesteak. Sorry, Tay.

I put this place on my list about 18 months ago and finally got there. I have been to Tay’s Burger Shack a few times, so I know that Tay is very familiar with what it takes to be excellent. Tay’s Cheesesteak solidified that.
This is the best cheesesteak I’ve had outside of Philly. It’s better than Pat’s or Geno’s. The only one that beats it is Dalessandro’s in Philly. Seriously legit steak.
I LOVE that Tay is committed to grass fed beef! That’s all we buy at home.
Amoroso’s bread is what all the greats use. If you go somewhere for a Philly and they don’t use Amoroso’s bread, leave. Go to a real joint. Like Tay’s.
Wow!! What a great treasure for KC! The staff is very cool, kind and helpful. They gave me time to make my way through the menu and ask questions. Diners are encouraged to ask for exactly what they want on their sandwich, even if it’s not listed.
I love the pepperoncini sauce, which I’ve never seen anywhere else. What a nice balance for the peppery meat and the salty cheese.
My sandwich was made after I ordered it and served so hot I had to wait 2-3 minutes before I could pick it up and another couple minutes before I got a real decent bite. Love that. HOT food is rare these days. I appreciate it so much.

Tay’s is the best burger place in KC hands down!!! The service is friendly, the place is small but clean, and most importantly, the burgers are DELICIOUS. Don’t forget to try the sriracha mayo and ketchup! I always recommend Tay’s to anyone traveling through KC! Grass Fed is Best!!!
