We found this eatery on a Maps search for Soul food. We lucked up being able to order, as they were closing early today. We selected our to go meals from a large variety of offerings. I ordered 2 fried pork chops with collards, Mac & cheese, and cornbread. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp with cole slaw, Mac & cheese, and hush puppies. They didn’t have a full order of shrimp, so she also got the fried flounder. All of the food was hot and fresh. The portions were very generous. Only one suggestion: cut back on the salt. Everything, including the Mac & cheese, had a lot of salt. Reducing the sodium would make this good food great. Friendly folks. Easy in and out. Definitely worth a stop!

Food was warm and seasoned. I did not care for the greens they were way too sweet, and the macaroni had a hint of lemon which I wasn’t used to. The hamburger steak, fried okra and cornbread were excellent. They served the Best Arnold Palmer I have had. I will return and try other items.

If I could leave 0 star review I would. I’m from out of town and thought by the pictures I had found a good little soul food spot. Took me 3 tries to get a fountain drink that was good and all my food tasted like fish even the cabbage. Chicken was overcooked. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites including trying everything. Took plate home to see if my dog will eat it.

I read some reviews before I decided to try this place some of the reviews I thought maybe they were being a little unfair, but I have to say this place has got to be the worst place i’ve ever had so called soul food, where can I begin? I ordered Fried pork chops collard greens so call Mac and cheese. the greens had sugar in them Who does that? the Mac and cheese was terrible It wasn’t fresh the pork chops had absolutely no taste and it had a old smell to it, secondly I ordered so-called smothered chicken and rice The rice was cold. The chicken was something that was purchased in a bag already chopped up. It’s not The normal chicken smother in gravy i’m accustomed to, didn’t taste like real chicken. Why would anyone come to this place? I have no idea i am From out of town been here for a few weeks, I did manage to go to Nana Morrison’s in Indian land It puts this food to shame, even that was not great great, but it was much better than what these people are trying to sell their own people. what a waste of my money! Artificial chicken. To make so call smothered chicken. the first thing we say as a people When we go into business, we say we don’t support each other, but why and how could anyone support this type of foolish! When people do this to you. we always wanna make a lot of money trying to give inadequate food. what a shame. i guess people in in this area Go there to support these people It is so sad, also I told the young lady I wanted corn bread and I guess the cook decided to stick a dinner roll in the container of both dinners. i tried to eat a little bit, most of it I threw in the trash and so did a friend of mine

TSF is 2/2 thus far on my last 2 trips and no negatives from me. I asked them to overcook my shrimp/grits and they did a great job. Very flavorful. Greens were tasty. Rice and gravy needed salt and pepper, but texture was true and good. Thank you…..til next time.

First time here tonight and the food was great! Large portions for a a very reasonable price. I was particularly looking for a chittlin dinner but I don’t like them drowned in vinegar. These were GREAT! Actually SEASONED instead of just drenched in vinegar. The mac n cheese noodles were a bit over cooked but I let that slide….it happens lol. I was surprised the oxtails didn’t come with gravy but the tenderness and the flavor was awesome! Broccoli and cheese casserole is one of my staple dishes to make and theirs actually gave me a lil competition. I got 3 combo dinners for $40! I WILL be back!

I went in and asked the pregnant young lady do y’all have cubes steak she stated I do gets home and they done sold me salisbury steak instead then would not answer the phone that’s bad business Taylor you getting over on people who still trying to support you and you suppose to be a godly man This is what cubed steak supposed to look like before the gravy

I do not know what happened to this place in the last few years. But the quality of the food in the service has gone straight into the crapper. I ordered some oxtails and it came covered in some kind of gravy that tasted rancid like it was used months old grease. When I got a fried turkey wing instead it has so much grease in it that I couldn’t even finish it. Don’t eat here you will be disappointed
