I ate here twice, I had to try the lunch because the breakfast was so good. I told my family and friends about this place while I was there. If you like a good southern cooked meal, this is the place for you. The prices are reasonable for the serving portions that you get. I was completely satisfied after each meal, breakfast the first day and lunch the next. Everything I tried looked appealing, nicely seasoned, cooked just right, and served hot (even off a Cafeteria style serving line). They were the (empty the plate), kind of meals, I didn’t need much else after either meal each day, other than healthy snacks. My lunch meal I took to go because the place was packed. The restaurant staff is very cordial and interactive with customers (welcoming and playful, Ms. Linda). They have a high food inspection rating, the place is clean and smells amazing during meal times! This is now on my to-go list on my next visit to Shreveport! Money well spent in my opinion.

Every worker takes time to smile, greet you, and serve you with care, even during the lunch rush. The portions? So generous that lunch easily becomes dinner! And the food? Food was delicious. I wish I could have had the option to get freshly fried fish. I like getting my fish ‘straight out of the grease”. With this exception, everything else was wonderful. Portion sizes were more than enough. Customer service was top tier. Great options. Nice variety. We will definitely return.

Food was hot and tasteful. There were many of options to chose from. Oh the price is VERY reasonable for the amount of food that you get. Although there was a slight line service was quick. In busy establishments sometimes the atmosphere could be a little off but not here everyone was very polite providing a welcoming atmosphere.

I’ve been to this newly opened 2nd location twice and I love it. The food is amazing and I love the fact that you can salt it to your own tastes. There’s not too many down home cooking restaurants like this. The last plate I got was the rib plate and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. I will be returning to this location again. Note: the menu for the day will be located on a white board in addition to what’s on the wall. Their desserts are also REALLY good.

The restaurant is fine. I purchased a cheeseburger. I would not recommend their burger. It took forever to receive and it was just a frozen patty, nothing special. The employees are friendly. I was expecting something better than what I purchased.
