Absolutely loved this place. The oysters were incredible, fresh, flavorful, and clearly top-tier. The food overall was amazing, and the staff were just as great: friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun. The atmosphere was spot-on, relaxed but lively, and we had a really good time from start to finish. If you’re anywhere in the area, this spot is a must-stop. Totally worth the trip and a great view on the water.

If you are traveling between Vancouver and Seattle, this place is worth a detour. The entrance to the restauraunt can be confusing. You turn off Chuckanut Dr onto a narrow one-way road. There is a traffic light when leaving, but I did not see one entering.

The Raw Oysters were extremely fresh. The Shrimp was good but pricey. The Grilled Pacific Oysters were okay, stick with the raw. The staff was friendly and quick. The view of the water and lighthouse was amazing.

Oyster Tasting Notes:
Fat Bastard: Fishy
Sumo: Slightly sweet, my favorite
Beach Glass: Plain
Shigoku: Briny ocean taste
Kumomoto: Salty and sweet, solid
Pacific: Plain tasting as well

I look forward to every visit!
I’ve appreciated learning about different oyster varieties, their unique flavor profiles and textures. Yesterday, Virginica was my favorite! I also tried geoduck for the first time and loved the geoduck crudo.
Thank you Taylor Shellfish for your top quality sea treats, and thank you, Izzy, always being amazing. Love everything about this place, including the beautiful view.

After getting over the smell it’s a beautiful place to enjoy your seafood by the water. The views with the lil light house is too cute. The service was great and helped with our ordering. The oysters were tasty & delicious. Sorry I can’t remember what came on the sampler but they all were great. I didn’t think I would enjoy the potato salad but it was good & paired well with the oysters. The fish my daughter had and she said it was a lil spicy. I really enjoyed going here taking in the views & good food and drinks.

100% must do. Excellent seafood and awesome experience – from the windy drive down to the to the rustic outdoor waterfront dining – dripping with authentic Pacific Northwest aura. Well worth the adventure. You wont be disappointed.

♥️ I’ve only been to Taylor Shellfish in Capitol Hill before, so this is my first time here. Being right by the water gives it such a great vibe, I really loved it. As expected, Taylor Shellfish still has the best oysters (Ah, it was a bit disappointing that they only had corn chowder! )

The oysters were exactly what you’d hope for here: fresh, briny, and even better with that waterfront view. Hard to beat that combo.

The salad was a surprise standout, crisp and full of flavor, while the broccoli was simple but done right. Drinks and the vibe fit the setting, laid-back and very Pacific Northwest.

The only miss was the limited gluten free choices, but what we did try was memorable. Worth the stop if you want oysters with a view and a few solid sides to go with them.

Friendly staff, great views, excellent food. They will seat you when you order, you don’t grab a table first. To order additional food you don’t need to wait in line again, you can go to the front and stand to the side. On nice days it gets crowded fast and seating is limited. They do have a covered area for when the weather isn’t good. It is on the water so it does get cold.

The oysters were fantastic and we also had the Chowder which was great.

This is a great farm-to-table dining experience for seafood lovers who don’t mind a road trip to get there. For the effort of getting all the way out to this location, you get to enjoy fresh food and cool drinks over a pretty bay-side view.

We ordered cold beers, a salad, and freshly shucked oysters but glazed over the multitude of catch varieties on offer. The best decision for us was to just ask for a sample of every kind of oyster, which made for a fun meal. Both the horseradish and vinegar were amazing pairings while the good ol’ lemon was also there.

We also brought with us a cooler box to take a stash of fresh oysters home for my wife’s colleague. The staff happily packed our box using a sealed plastic bag and plenty of ice. Everything made it across the Canadian border and held up well the next day.

For the curiously-minded, the coastal surroundings had plenty of photogenic sites to wander around and to take a few shots before setting off. Overall, a great destination experience that we heartily recommend.
