Located in downtown Fortville, Taxman Fortville occupies two historic buildings that were constructed in the early 1900s. The restaurant features a 21+ bar area, a family-friendly dining area that can accommodate large groups, a lofted 2nd floor dining area with a full service bar and a private event room suitable for groups of up to 100 people. The tap room features two full-service bars with twenty craft beers on draft, a local and international wine selection and handcrafted cocktails. The draft beer selection showcases the wide variety of Belgian-inspired craft beers brewed by Taxman Brewing Company.

Enjoyed a nice meal with my wife here. Menu has good options and the drink menu leaves you with so many choices. We started with the Brussel Sprout appetizer which was good. We modified it due to food allergies. They offer gluten free buns which we greatly appreciate. I did the frisco burger which was fantastic. The fries were delicious.
Service was fantastic, the team took great care of us. Good space to accommodate. Bathrooms were clean.

Really nice atmosphere, very clean, everyone I interacted with was very friendly. Got the Bacon Smash burger and it was legitimately amazing. Thought it’d be good but not top 3 burgers I’ve had all time, which it definitely was. Jada was a great server and knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of her tables. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely be back sometime.

Had a really good night! Our waitress Alisa was amazing! Beer and cider spot on! Had the brisket Mac and cheese good flavor (needed a little more heat) but over all great meal! Brussel sprouts, garlic cheese curds and pretzel with beer cheese were amazing! Five stars all day!

If you go, you MUST try the Bacon Smash burger! It was legitimately amazing and instantly shot into my top 3 burgers of all time. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is very clean, and the service is just as good. Our server, Jada, was great—she was knowledgeable, friendly, and totally on top of her tables. A perfect spot. We will definitely be back.

Updated Beer Garden area was just perfect on this lovely sunny day. We always get the Brussels sprouts and highly recommend, but today Alissa also recommended the cheese curds and I’m not sure we’ll be able to come back and not get them – maybe the most delicious thing we’ve ever had here. Alissa was an absolute delight – helpful, attentive, and so friendly. Taxman is such a great addition to our little town!
