Happily surprised to find this Mexican restaurant with LOTS of vegetarian and vegan entree options! Staff was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful too.
My husband loved the Enchiladas Vegetarian, which he had with bean filling and mole sauce topping. The mole is especially delicious with such subtle flavors.
I loved the Rajas Con Crema, which is flavorful in every bite. Fabulous!
A new favorite for us. Can’t wait to try other choices too!

I’ve been here many times.
Pros:
Guac is really good
Cecina is pretty good, I prefer it a little crispier but that’s just me.
Great, friendly service
Food came out very quickly
House marg is decent enough
Cons:
Teeny tiny salsas that you have to keep refilling. It just screams cheap.
Salsa isn’t my favorite but I guess it’s “Tex-Mex” so I’ll let it slide. I prefer a more traditional salsa.
Our flavored margaritas came out and tasted HORRIBLE. Way too much lime, I could barely drink it. Tasted like drinking straight lime juice. I don’t think I’ve ever met a margarita I don’t like until now. Didn’t send them back because I just don’t do that. But super disappointed.
We will come back but won’t stray from a plain marg.

We had the best waitress i’ve ever had in my life at any the restaurant. I started choking at my pop and she came right out to make sure I was okay. The food was amazing as usual. We got the guacamole, which is always one point and steak chimichangas.

It had been a while since we visited Taxco, so we decided to give it another whirl, as we love Mexican cuisine. Their freshly made guacamole was top-notch; honestly, we should have grabbed another order for the road. I had the combo #3, and my wife had the combo #1. Both were well-made, tasty dishes. The highlight of the night for me was the cilantro and jalapeño margarita I had with my meal. It packed a spicy kick but was delicious. There were a couple of other specialty margaritas that I’m looking forward to trying next time we visit.

Lately I’ve been getting the Bistec Oaxaca and it’s always perfectly cooked and juicy, my vegan fiancé gets the tacos de hongos and loves them. The premium margarita doesn’t taste like alcohol at all but I PROMISE they pour them strong, just delicious. Can’t say enough good about Taxco. My favorite restaurant in Sycamore.

Went here for my daughter’s birthday. I got the Enchiladas en Mole Teloloapan. They were pretty good. I also got a frozen mango margarita and enjoyed it as well. Towards the end the waitress brought us a piece of flan and sang happy birthday to my daughter. Overall the food and service was good. Looking forward to coming back.

I have been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. They had plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and their drinks are perfect every time. The staff is always very warm and attentive. I will continue to come here and recommend that others do as well.
