Definitely a great Mexican restaurant to go to. My husband and I went twice and both times the experiences were pretty consistent. We were seated pretty quickly and served with chips and salsa as soon as we sat, which was nice. Many great food options portions were great also as well as the pricing definitely would go back again. The lunch specials are a great deal also and decent size portions. Seems like a very nice family owned restaurant.

We were in the mood for Mexican and had been wanting to try Taxco, so we finally decided to check it out. I let the team know that I’m a Top Google Local Guide and would be sharing my food and overall experience.
The chips and salsa were tasty and a great way to start the meal! Cecelia, our server, was attentive and did her best to help my husband choose something that wouldn’t spike his glucose. He ordered the Naked Burrito with steak, substituting the rice for extra beans, and he really enjoyed it.
I ordered the Enchiladas Supremas (one chicken, one beef, and one cheese). Unfortunately, I didn’t care for them rolled in corn tortillas—they were a bit rubbery for my taste. I also prefer steak over ground beef, so most of my plate went uneaten. When I mentioned it, our server kindly offered to bring something else. Although I declined a full replacement, I did agree to try one made with steak in a flour tortilla. The flavor & texture improved, but when I looked inside the tortilla, the meat were cube size and considering I wasn’t really eating my original dinner, it would have been nice to have larger slices of steak like the ones in my husband’s burrito. Oh well.
While I truly appreciated the effort to make it right and the attentive service, overall I don’t think this will be a go-to spot for me—one and done. Still glad I checked it off my list!

Sunday Funday with a great pitcher of Margarita! 10 out of 10, A+++++. Sat at bar, lots of regulars. Surprised that we never visited, it is kind of hidden. Food was great. I had the Carnita Dinner with Crema. This might be our new go too.

First time customers and we are very happy with our visit. My wife and I went at dinner time on a Friday. We sat at the bar, had 2 tall beers each, chicken quesadillas, and the Mexicans enchiladas with steak. The food was outstanding, served piping hot, and the beers were ice cold. The mole sauce is very, very good! By 6:00 most seats were filled and it was really busy the whole time we were there between 5:30 and 7:00. Lots of take out orders going out the door. The entire staff work their tails off and do an amazing job. This is our new, favorite place for great Mexican food
My only recommendation would be to add more bar stools, and stools that are a little higher.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent – I finished an entire chicken fajita meal, which I didn’t think I’d be able to do because it was so filling and delicious. The drink was just the right strength, perfect for enjoying and still being able to drive home safely. It was my sister’s birthday, and the staff sang to her, which made the night even more special. Everyone was super nice, and the atmosphere was great. All around, it was a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back!

My review will be a bit biased. Been going here every Monday (to beat the Taco Tuesday crowd) for about two years now. Staff no longer has to ask for my order, they will sit me down and I’ll have my food in about 5 minutes. This is not the normal, perks of being a regular, but you should still expect fast service, good food, and an overall good lunch or dinner.

My husband and I have been trying to find Mexican restaurants that serve good vegetarian food ever since we moved from Chicago. Not sure if our expectations are high but like every other restaurant the food was a bit of a letdown. We ordered peach and strawberry non alcoholic margaritas, spinach creamy burrito. The margaritas were a little too sweet for our liking but maybe that’s how everyone likes so no complaints there. But the spinach burrito was so bland. 2 burritos swimming in a plate of creamy sauce and beans accompanied with some rice and sour cream. It didn’t have much flavour or texture. It took effort to cut the burrito with knife and fork. Both of us struggled to finish one plate of burritos.

We order pick up and live 10 mins away unfortunately my taco salad and green burritos were soggy and mushy, my sister’s combo plate the taco when she picked it up had stuck into the take out container and fell apart! My first time eating here was not very pleasant!

Was the first time ordering from them . We got our usual Taco salad that we like to get to see if a restaurant can make a simple dish like that well then most of the time everything else is usually on par. The taco salad come inside a taco shell which was great because last time we order one from la unica down the road it did not which was disappointing. The food was warm , and the chicken actually had seasoning and not from a packet which was awesome . The beans were good as well not as authentic as I like but also home made which is great overall was a good meal and would definitely eat there again specially since they seem to be the best around the area we found so far. Also prices are more than fair for what you get .
