We wanted to try a new pizza place this evening! So, we ventured to Middle Amana to the “Taverne”.
We love a good thin pizza and we weren’t disappointed.
We decided on the Meat Lover’s.
The crust was flakey, the right amount of sauce, lots of Cheese, and lots of meat toppings perfectly done and great flavor! The best thin pizza we’ve had in a long time. We were impressed and definitely will be back! Well worth the drive to Middle Amana for their thin pizza! Good service and nice atmosphere.

Have had carryout pizza from here, but this was the first time dining in. Love this place! We are in town a few times a year to visit family. Will absolutely return! Tried the Kona Big Wave beer on tap, and my wife and I both loved it. Sausage and saurkraut pizza was on point, and Victoria was amazing! This will be our hangout while in town!

Wouldn’t know how good the pizza or food is from the service. Walked in with my boyfriend, got drinks right away at our table. The bartender guy seemed friendly, we said we needed a little time with the menu, but after that he was nowhere to be found. We waited over 20 min and no one came to take our order. A lady behind the bar was at another table, but never came to check on us when we clearly had menus still on our table and were waiting. So we finally got up and paid for our drinks, the lady probably wouldn’t have even notice if we just left. The bar was kinda run down and had a musty smell that wasn’t pleasant, we also noticed when we came in there was still stuff on some tables from other customers. We also saw a guy walk into the bar and his pants kept falling down, he went into the kitchen area so you can say after that we were ready to just go without food. Big disappointment though from seeing reviews on how good the pizza is.

It was a busy night for the one bar tender/server but the service was great. We ordered a Supreme pizza that was sub par for $25. It lacked toppings and wasn’t that great for the quality. There was a decent atmosphere but the kids that were there were pounding on the game that’s there.

Amazing place. Service amazing (thanks Kaitlyn (sp?) and Brandon)!!! Loved hearing of the history of the place. Service was amazing !!! Loved the pizza! Very unique and delicious dough. We will be back here a lot . Maybe add some chicken wings for game days! Thanks again for the great service and food. A new go to for us !!!!

Hey this place is great for being so new. It’s giving me real Pizza Factory vibes. You guys remember that or am I the only one? I settled for pizza as I usually do, but they have more options than that. (Southwest style eggrolls are a great alternative). Did I mention they have free arcade games? Yea. Only 2 setups right now, but we all know how many hours you can sink into Turtles in Time, and a Ms Pacman set up with all the classic arcade games. Yes. I can see this being a regular stop to satisfy some of my old Town nostalgia…and other things of the beer verity.

Called to pick up food and service was rude. When we got there our order hadn’t even been put in system and when I asked why we had to wait the staff was very rude and no apologies and salads we ordered looked like they were thrown together very fast and gross and for the price… We’ve been there other nights and always had good experience but staff this time were not friendly and food was not the same!
