Tagaris is one of those places that knows exactly how to set the tone for a great night. Warm lighting, an open kitchen with that glowing wood-fire grill, and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We had a reservation, and they had our table ready the moment we walked in — comfortable, well-placed, and perfect for conversation.
The staff here deserves a shoutout. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful when it came to picking drinks and explaining the menu without rushing us. They gave us that perfect balance of attention and space.
First up: the chicken tortilla soup.
This thing was flavorful, comforting, and packed with that slow-cooked, homemade taste. Honestly, it was delicious as-is, but a couple slices of avocado would seriously take it to the next level. Still — a great start.
Now the paella… WOW.
A good size portion, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly — not mushy, not dry — and honestly better than what I’ve had at a lot of dedicated Spanish restaurants. The mix of seafood and chicken was generous, the seasoning was bright and warm, and every bite hit exactly how paella should. It was the star of the night.
We paired everything with sangrias, and they were fantastic — refreshing, not overly sweet, and just the right complement to the meal. The berry sangria especially worked ridiculously well with the paella.
Overall, Tagaris gave us a solid, memorable dinner. Great service, great food, cozy atmosphere, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place we’ll be returning to.

Rachel was an absolute gem! She took care of us with a warm smile and lightning-fast service. Not only did she get our orders out quickly, but she also checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was spot on. Her attention to detail and genuine vibe made our dining experience truly special. Big shoutout to Rachel for bringing the heat and making our meal unforgettable!

Tagaris is my absolute favorite go-to in Richland for a special night out. The Taverna atmosphere is beautifully sophisticated yet so cozy and inviting. Honestly, the food is what keeps me returning! I love the inventive small plates, and every dinner entrée I’ve had is expertly plated and packed with flavor. It’s a huge bonus that their wines are always high-quality and pair perfectly with the menu. Add in the genuinely fantastic service, and you have a consistently wonderful experience.

After a day of shopping I wanted to take my mom and daughter for a late lunch here. We were greeted by the rudest staff. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. The woman said, well I don’t know if we can seat you. Her and another woman were in a complete huff if they were going to seat us or not. Then they got a man and told him, I don’t know how you want to handle this. He ended up grabbing menus and seated us without saying one word to us. I just sat there in disbelief. I felt that they treated us like riff raff off the street. Then they gave us a valentine menu and it was the only menu they had for the weekend. We ended up getting up and leaving. Then the same women at the front were just up in arms and saying they need to tell people before they seat them from now on about the valentine menu. She was was talking, like we weren’t even there. We went to another winery and had absolute great service and great food. They had a valentine menu and regular menu to order from. BTW, this was Friday afternoon- so it wasn’t Valentine’s Day.
We have been to Tagaris many times before when we come into town from Seattle. After this experience, I will not be going back. I don’t want to waste my time or money to see if the wait staff will be snobby or friendly. Tagaris- figure your service out.

I ordered their french onion soup. I was looking forward to the croutons and melted cheese typically served with the soup. What I received was very spicy soup with a few croutons and a sprinkle of grated parmesan looking cheese. I have never had french onion soup so full of pepper. I am all for chef’s putting a bit of a creative spin on their version of a soup, but taste what you are serving!
I had ordered a pineapple jalapeño margarita, one of their specialty drinks made with fresh jalapeño slices, and it wasn’t anywhere close to as spicy as the french onion soup. I was very disappointed by the soup and not impressed by the drink.
The service was ok. I don’t think anyone ever came back to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. Next thing I knew I was getting the check.
Unfortunately, because I was with a large party they automatically tack on an 18% gratuity. I can’t even show my appreciation for the service the way I choose. If staff aren’t paid enough, charge more and pay them better, leave tipping as a way of showing appreciation for the service. As a general rule I tip 20% but, when the restaurant takes it upon themselves to add a gratuity I become uninterested in adding more. Trust your customers to take care of your servers. If they do great work, they should receive the tip they deserve. If they don’t then they don’t deserve 18%. A tip is a way of showing appreciation. A set amount should not be expected, ever!
In addition, the wait for the food was pretty long. The restaurant was not full, and it was nearly cleared out before we left. I think the staff was more interested in the last game of the world series then in serving their customers. If you are looking for a place where you could hear the people with you, this also isnt the place. It is very loud when it is filled with people.

We chose Tagaris as our wedding venue, it was the best decision we made. The venue was so beautiful and romantic, food was exceptional more than we could ever imagine and specially finding out they don’t cook with seed oils that was surprising and exceeded my expectations as I try not consume any seed oil. The service was above and beyond our expectations, our wedding was on November 22nd 2025 and both of the ladies that served us were absolutely amazing. Our guests were truly impressed with the venue, food and most of all the service. Thank you Tagaris for just an amazing hospitality!!!

Husband took me here for an early Valentines date. Great place! Loved the ambiance of the building. They put us right in front of the fireplace, which was cozy and warm. I adored it.
Food and drinks were great, they have a chef that seems to tailor the menu to the occasion and it’s perfect. Can’t wait to go back.

We made a reservation here for mother’s day brunch. We had mimosas and bloody Marys. We also had the steak and eggs which were delicious. Then for dessert we had the Trios dessert which included cheesecake and the chocolate bomb. They were incredible. We will definitely be back!

First time at this long time winery. Must admit to being a bit disappointed. The food was good…a definite 4 and the service was a 3…average. The atmosphere for a more upscale restaurant/winery was a definite 2. The chef was yelling out to staff when orders were ready and there was alot of commotion and staff pacing about around our table throughout the meal. It was distracting and annoying. This place could do better…
