Great food, great value! We have come here several times and it has always been a great experience! Today Chris , our server really knocked it out of the park for us. Definitely a solid place in our family’s regular rotation. I am addicted to their mussels!

The outside atmosphere at this location is great. The service and food were exceptional! Shai our waiter was super and recommended the branzino which was delectable and refreshing. We had the meatballs during happy hour which are a bargain at 8 bucks! Highly recommend if you’re at the domain and shopping for a pleasant treat!

We had a great experience at La Taverna. First, we were able to get a table with no problem with the great help at the front desk. The environment is calm, yet inviting and cozy, easy to have a conversation. The food was great, no delays, and a great menu (difficult to decide what to get).
The best part was the service. You can tell they really care about their clients and their needs. Chris did an amazing job today. Always made sure our drinks were full, responded any questions and gave great recommendations. He was a cheerful person and incredibly easy to get along with. Give him a raise please 🙂
The ONLY reason why I did not give 5 starts is because, from experience, these type of restaurant, or at least it’s competitors, usually give complementary bread at the start of the meal. That’s is incredibly appreciated.
Regardless, 10/10 will recommend.

If you’re a foodie in Austin, Taverna at the Domain is a must. The menu strikes the perfect balance between comforting Italian classics and thoughtful, elevated flavors. The star of the show for me was the Risotto al Parmigiano, finished tableside in a giant wheel of parmesan — rich, creamy, and absolutely decadent. Their house-made pastas are perfectly al dente, and the braised short rib pappardelle is something I’d come back for again and again.
The cocktails are equally impressive — well-balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the service is warm and knowledgeable, with great pairing recommendations.

I was there for more than 15 minutes and no one came to take the order
So I went to the box next to the door and asked if someone could take my order, but the young man who was there left me and went back.
Then there was a person trying to light the heater that works with propane and tried a lot until the place was filled with the smell of propane. However, one of the customers tried to help them. However, there were two waiters standing and watching, and one of them was the one I asked for help before. You can check the camera at 5:00.

I’m really disappointed with our experience at Taverna tonight. We ordered over $500 in food and wine, and the service was some of the worst I’ve had in Austin. We weren’t given basic essentials like plates or forks, and when the pasta finally arrived it was dry and poorly prepared.
They also brought out the wrong bottle of wine, and instead of correcting the issue politely, our server was rude and dismissive. The entire experience felt unprofessional and careless, especially considering the price point.
This should have been a great dinner, but unfortunately the service and the quality of the food fell far below expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because this was unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.
