The atmosphere is lovely and lively. It does get loud, but not to the point where conversation was difficult, which we appreciated.
We were treated to a complimentary tiramisu for a birthday, which was a kind gesture and very much appreciated. That said, the dessert itself missed the mark, it was quite soggy and lacked the flavor you expect from a classic tiramisu. I’m mentioning this only because everything else was strong, and the contrast stood out.
Overall, a great spot for a fun, energetic Italian dinner. We’d absolutely return, just likely try a different dessert next time.
Atmosphere was cozy casual and abuzz with every table full on a Saturday night so reservations are must. We will be back with friends.
They have a great selection of pastas.
Devin was our waiter, and he was over the top. His attention to detail was exceptional. There was a gluten consideration and he was quite attentive to that. His recommendations were spot on, and candid, which I always appreciate.
The food was exceptional with a highlight on the polpo, which was honestly cooked to perfection and paired well with the potato base. Truth be told the tomato based dipping sauce could use a bit more of a savory balance with the acidic snap, in my opinion, but overall an awesome dish. The pasta dishes were well crafted, with us both requesting al dente on the pasta cook (which, admittedly I feel should be the standard, but I digress.)
I’d really like to reiterate what an outstanding service experience this was due to Devin’s candor and attentiveness, and it is my hope that he gets some praise for this. I would even posit that a somewhat mediocre food experience (not the case here) can be offset with an over the top service experience.
I certainly hope the next we time we return that we are under his astute care again.
My friend’s favorite restaurant so of course we had to go together.
They gave complementary focaccia bread but it was very thin, made me think more of a flat bread than your typically focaccia bread. It was flavored with cheese which was delicious.
Got the Frito misto which is basically fried seafood and vegetables which was great. Perfectly crispy.
For pasta we got the gnocchi with braided short rib and the Paglia e fieno that had a truffle cream sauce. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked.
Service was exceptional. They made sure our waters were always refilled and everyone was super nice and attentive.
