You are definitely paying for the view. Great view and great vibe. Sadly, the food did not match its appearance. If they somehow figure out how to make the food taste good, they will surely do wonderful. Although the views are making up the difference and it gets packed.
We ordered a bunch of apps and were not impress even a little bit. Best tasting dish was the buffalo wings. Lobster bisque, lacking flavor and came out little hotter than room temp. Stuffed mushrooms were not cook all the way through, had to send it back. Crab cakes were so so. Nachos did not come out right, we ended up scratching that order as well.
Service was good, our waiter was hustling and tried to make things better, although the food was def disappointing.

Quite a romantic ambiance place near Lake George. Good service but it takes time for food.

The view is stunning and located in a perfect spot. You can boat right up to the dock and are met with friendly faces to help the docking experience. The service is pretty good, but the food is nothing special. You are definitely paying for the view, not the food. It is not terrible, just overpriced for the quality.

The views at this waterfront restaurant are truly spectacular—no argument there. It’s a beautiful setting, perfect for enjoying a drink or catching a sunset. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the ambiance.
I ordered the bruschetta chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was supposed to be grilled, but it came out tasting more like it had been poached—soft, lacking any char or flavor you’d expect from grilling. The mashed potatoes were watery and bland, and the green beans didn’t add much to the plate.
We also tried the birria mac and cheese, which sounded like a winning combination but was a major disappointment. The mac and cheese was watery, not gooey at all—especially surprising with birria, which should add richness and depth.
For the price, I expected a much better dining experience. It feels like you’re paying for the view, not the food. A great spot for a drink and the scenery—but I wouldn’t come back for the meal.

We stopped here on Labor Day to enjoy the beautiful summer day with a view of the lake. 10/10 recommend making sure you are sitting where you have a view.
Our server was lovely; very pleasant, attentive, and quick to get us anything we needed.
Lastly, the food. Super impressed with the chicken sandwich and homemade potato chips.
The chicken was thin, just like I love it, and the combo of apple, bacon, and cheese was delicious. However, the burger was “just okay”, but nothing I would order again. The same goes for the onion rings; thick and not very crispy.
Overall, great views and service. Decent food, depending upon what you order.

Beautiful setting and excellent service. The menu is basic and the food was not great. The bruschetta is HEAVY on the garlic, the crab cakes weren’t cooked all the way through and tasted like the crab had gone bad, and the Nachos were extremely salty. I will definitely go back for a glass of wine and enjoy the amazing atmosphere!

In Lake George, this restaurant probably has the best view. They don’t take reservations, so you might have to wait a bit for a table overlooking the lake. Or like us, arrive late on a weekday.
We ordered the pear salad and the BWM Chicken sandwich with sweet potato tots and fries. The salad was refreshing, tangy, sweet and satisfying. The cornbread component of the sandwich was dry and the crispy chicken as well as the fries were cold. Felt like it was made hours ago. We sent back the fries and we were served crisp hot ones. But some amount of damage was already done.
The last time we’d come here we had the crab cake sandwich and fish and chips. Both were perfectly delicious. So they definitely do get it right sometimes.
But the view saved it all. After lunch we took the stairs down to the dock and relaxed on the lounge chairs for a bit. And on the way back to our car we stopped by the koi pond, which is absolutely breathtaking.

Took a friend for lunch on Father’s Day, 6/16/24 and the Tavern on the Lake did not disappoint!! See pics and videos… Sat at the outside bar overlooking spectacular Lake George!! Bri took excellent care of us for 3 hours! She was very friendly, professional, and prompt. We enjoyed the sangria, the crab cakes, and the bruschetta was the tastiest we ever had from anywhere. Everything was delicious! I’ve eaten here several times and have never had a bad experience. The views of Lake George from this place are incredible! You can drive the car here (parking gets full sometimes so you can park at other spots on the BWM property & get a ride by golf cart to the tavern) or take the boat out and dock it below on Lake George. The Blue Water Manor property is exquisite! Don’t miss a chance to stop by and view the grounds, the scenery, get a bite to eat and have a few drinks! Life doesn’t get any better than when you’re on the property of the Blue Water Manor!! See you next month!

Fantastic experience. We came up via boat and an employee help us tie to the dock. We went in and did not have to wait for a table. We had a table outside with a great view. The food was really good and the service was fast. Highly recommend.
