Tavern on the Green overlooks the Central Virginia State Golf Course, but you don’t need to be a member to enjoy a fantastic meal with us! When you visit, you can expect amazing food and superior service every time. Guests also enjoy the breathtaking scenery of our small lake, waterfall, and, of course, the vibrant fairway. Those views, paired with our dedicated staff, also make our place the perfect venue for your upcoming wedding or event. Beautiful view of the golf course from the outdoor seating area. We only had appetizers and drinks. Service was a bit slow, but ok. The shrimp and andouille sausage devilled eggs are so amazing!

I’ve lived in the area for 3 years and get tired of the classic restaurant rotation the area has to offer. I have wanted this place to be good ever since I moved here because it’s so beautiful to eat outside, but I get extremely disappointed every single time. This is by far the worst restaurant in terms of service and food that I have ever been to and I eat out once a day . It’s been this way since I have lived here that this place has been terrible, I keep coming back because I want it to work. I really want them to succeed and be the best, but wow. They need some leadership to get their team together. Not the spot, you should go elsewhere.

We went on a Sat night when there was live music, Centerline Band. The band was excellent & the waitstaff even remarked that Centerline Band was one of the best they’ve heard in years. If you can catch them, stay & enjoy!
Ambiance was excellent with a gorgeous view of a small lake. Indoor & outdoor seating was available. It was a gorgeous afternoon/evening so the outdoor seating was at capacity.
We had the beef tenderloin special, which was amazing & surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend & would definitely come back for more!

This is a restaurant at the Spring Creek Country Club. It is open to the public. I’ve had the club (shown), burgers and wings. All were very good. Prices area reasonable and the view of the golf course is lovely. You can eat outside on the patio with your dog! And…burgers are $9 on Wednesdays. There’s also a nice beer and wine selection and happy hour. Unpretentious, quality and value.

I hate to do this but some people shouldn’t be in charge. The bar tender was exceptional. We had a couple drinks, and he was great. We took our drinks out to the patio. There were a bunch of students taking pictures for homecoming. A blonde lady (manager??) Walked out and fussed about where they were walking to, which was understandable. I’m sure it’s a liability if they walk out on the golf course, etc etc… she then turns to other customers and begins talking about the students very rudely, saying none of them were purchasing anything, blah blah blah. Not only was this an untrue statement as we watched numerous parents walk into the bar for drinks, and a few sat down to eat. These kids were there because of the view, and were enjoying this beautiful place. This lady was very unpressional and has no business in whatever position she is in. I know it means nothing to anyone, especially to the rude lady, but I will not spend another dime in this establishment!

We went for dinner on Tuesday and was greeted by Lindsay upon arrival. She remembered us from our previous visit. She offered us Pinot Noir, which she remembered also. For dinner we had a house salad and crab stuffed flounder with squash noodles and pesto cream sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection! I just wished the portion was slightly larger. It could of also used more squash. Lindsay took excellent care of us, along with Sadie. Wonderful service! The new ownership, menu, and chef’s are great. Thank you.
