I recently visited Tavern on the Bay while taking a much-needed break from the busyness of Los Angeles, and it was such an incredible experience. The service was absolutely amazing—warm, attentive, and truly impeccable.
What really stood out was how relaxing everything felt. Sitting out on the patio, just soaking in the beautiful view, was unforgettable. I know I’m really going to miss that peaceful atmosphere. And let me just say, they make the best martinis I’ve ever had!
The hotel itself was so unique—completely different from staying at a standard hotel. It honestly felt more like being at home, with a comforting and welcoming vibe that made the whole stay so enjoyable.

Such an amazing place to stay. Great food & drinks. Jessie at the bar was so friendly, Thomas was a delight at check in and really made feel welcome. The views from the top deck are beautiful and the space is so relaxing. I definitely will be back.

We stayed one night at this hotel and had a generally good experience. Everything was clean, and the staff was very polite and helpful. While I had a bit of trouble sleeping due to the noise from the window air conditioners, the room had a certain charm. The furniture and repairs are a bit dated, but they add to the unique atmosphere of the place. I especially enjoyed the lovely view from the second floor—it made the stay memorable.

The window views are gorgeous but it’s 100% downhill after that .
The fact that they have a sign outside that says LEAVE US A GOOD REVIEW BECAUSE OF THE KARENS ,I think says it all. This place is over priced, dirty, in need of renovation and clearly takes no accountability for their lack of standards.
The owner is also VERY rude. If you’re so bothered why are you in this business?
You put out a sign like this, should have left the moment I saw this…lots of problems at this place.
Dirty dusty everything. They whined about how “much we have to pay cleaners “ …how unprofessional…. But also , they aren’t doing a good job.
Stay away and stay someplace else . Too much money for lackluster accommodations, in need of renovation and repairs. The shower head sprayed water over the top of the shower getting the room wet everywhere…. Could not wait to leave .

Our family was supposed to stay 2 nights but unfortunately we had a family emergency & had to leave early. We were so sad to leave. The room was amazing. We loved the view we had from the balcony. We enjoyed the unique charm this place had! Everything we wanted to see/do this weekend was within a 5 min drive (with exception of the little beach right next door that was a short distance away!) I’d def love to stay again!

Came for last minute dinner yesterday evening. I can’t remember the last time I experienced such phenomenal service, even after it started to get very busy. Everyone there is so kind. Food was really good, view was obviously amazing!

Listen, if you’re looking for ultra modern but generic, this, the place is not for you. However, if you’re into charming vintage with character to spare look no further. Amazing views. Pleasant staff. Restaurant and bar downstairs. A short drive to Ocean City. Highly recommended.
