Seafood pasta had zero flavor and seafood was overcooked. Pot roast was chewy and the mashed potatoes tasted like peanuts. Service was very slow and they were not busy. She walked past our table numerous times without speaking and we had to flag her down multiple times and was irritated when we asked for 2 separate checks. Very disappointing.

The service was extremely rushed! We had a 6pm reservation and by 6:56pm it felt like they were pushing us out the door. Our waitress was nice but seemed flustered by the crowd. We enjoyed our food, but won’t be returning due to how we our waitress made us feel. Maybe the locals / regulars are treated differently. Even before we were all finished eating we had takeout containers and plastic bags dropped at the table. The dessert list looked good and we would have ordered some however it just seemed like they were anxious to clear the table and move us along so we sat uncomfortably for maybe 10 minutes then paid the bill and left.

Great place my 2nd time there. We have friends that live in town and they take us there for dinner. Everyone’s order was made perfect. P.S. You must try the white chowder even if it is 90° outside.

Did a quick search because we were in the area… and came across this place. Ample parking for an early supper. Seating is limited but we were seated immediately. Thought I was entering an apartment building… signage is confusing… but once you step over the threshold… the age of the building is remarkable.

We have been going to this restaurant for 30 years, the food has always been delicious until this Friday’s visit. The food was not good at all. The stuffed mushrooms were flavorless, like sawdust, the Alfredo was gummy, and the scallop special was absolutely vile, they threw scallops on the plate, dumped dry breadcrumbs on top and dumped a ton of parmesean cheese on top. 100 bucks is too much to take the chance of another bad meal. We are disappointed.

Tavern on main is one of my favorite places to eat when I am in the area. I have never had a bad meal here. The different flavored butter and bread is pretty awesome. The prime rib is delicious, along with any of the Italian dishes.

Very quaint place to eat. The restaurant is supposedly haunted. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. I got the special which was veal Milan. It was so good. It came with vegetable and pierogis. I highly recommend Tavern on Main. Great place to take the family.
