This bar is a hidden gem. Mark, the owner did a nice job with this bar. The bartender, Dora makes delicious drinks. Last night she made us some pineapple mezcalitas. They were amazing!

Food was good would’ve been better had they cooked it the way I asked versus how they choose to cook my food. Order 3 bacon burgers get home no bacon on any burger .Spent 118.00 …20.00 tip. Cooks need to slow down get orders correct first instead of rushing orders out. OK I feel better now.

My husband and I went to Tavern tonight for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful and our burgers were absolutely delicious. We’ve been there several times and have never been disappointed. Mark is very friendly and personable, as well as the staff. Thank you Mark!

Mark and Dora were friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Great bourbon selection. Drinks were high quality and very reasonably priced. 15 of us popped in and then stayed until closing. Highly recommend if you are in downtown Aurora. My friends and I will certainly visit again.

March 2024 update: it’s been a year since I was here. Said we’d always come back if we’re in town and we did. It’s as perfect as remembered. Apparently we aren’t the only ones that feel that way. 500+ more likes on Facebook bar counter.

The food was delicious! Best chili cheese burger ever. Potato skins top 5. Anything with the homemade Bacon Jam! We’ll always find time to stop in anytime we are in town. Located in the heart of old downtown Aurora. Within walking distance of a few hotels and the casino.

We enjoy having a quick bite and a well made drink at the tavern on Broadway. Drinks are always excellent. Cheese curds are ok. Burger is premium pub patty, but well cooked and seasoned perfectly. Clam chowder is one of the better offerings in the area. Fair prices, awesome service and fast service if you are running a little late to the theater.

The waitress was wired on Coke , soy service was bad, she had the Bobby Brown lip quivers. But the food delicious , and The Cook’s back there, definitely throwing down. The only thing I didn’t like was my service from the waitress.

I lived in downtown Chicago for three years. And Tavern On Broadway reminds me a lot of places I ate at.
I’ve been here when it’s busy and when it’s not, but rest assured I was taken care of very well.
Katie was great at reading our table. She saw we wanted some drinks first, gave us some time to drink and chat, then arrived at the perfect time to take our food order.
***She made this shot for us (Malibu, pineapple juice….and other mixes) it was delicious!!!! If you’re ever there, ask for Katie and her special drink she just might shake one up for you.
The Spicy burger was awesome! Highly recommend it!

Had the fowl & swine flatbread and buffalo wings and both were delicious! They had a good selection of beer but the whisky sour was amazing! Atmosphere and service were great.

We had a great dining experience here! Staff was friendly and personable. Burgers were cooked perfectly, fries seasoned just right and cocktails were superb! Really nice atmosphere too. A new spot for us for sure!
