We went on Christmas Day. It was busy that day, and we had to wait for some time. They had a variety of food. There were only a few vegetarian options, though. The shrimp and sausage were good. Chole Bhature was also good. The veg pakoras could be better. Overall, I liked the service and atmosphere of the place.

We recently had our annual reunion of colleagues and friends that had worked together at Continental Airlines, including 3 prior CEOs, at Hearsay Tavern and were blown away by the service and attention to details. We had about 30 people attend and the staff decorated the restaurant beautifully for Christmas, the drinks, food and service were amazing. The fact that we took over the entire restaurant just made it super special. Kudos to the entire team, Kevin, Jasmin, Crystal, Colby and our sales person Angela. Everyone really did a top notch job, highly recommend checking it out especially for mid-size parties! We will be back next year!

We mostly got drinks. At first the service was a little on the snappy side but after a few rounds he warmed up to us. We did order the Monte Cristo egg rolls (mostly just BBQ in a fried egg roll) but I all in all we had a great time.

The tavern has a lovely atmosphere, and the service was very good — friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We ordered the Margherita pizza, which was good, though not quite exceptional. The espresso was also very good and a nice way to finish the experience. Overall, a pleasant spot with a comfortable vibe and great hospitality.”

I had the Seafood Pie with the Gouda Mac & Cheese and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé had the Chicken Tikka Masala and he couldn’t get enough. We finished with the Banana Pudding and we could eat that all day, it was so good. We definitely recommend this restaurant! We’re coming back tomorrow with more people. They need to know about this!

Had a great experience at Tavern at Hearsay. The atmosphere is upscale but still relaxed, making it a great spot in downtown Houston for drinks and dinner.
Lauren, the bartender, made excellent cocktails and provided friendly, attentive service all night. Ashley, the manager, runs a great operation and made sure everything was smooth and welcoming.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great service, good drinks, and a great vibe downtown.

First, I see a lot of photos that belong to the restaurant from the same chain, but that is located two blocks away from the Tavern.
While the overall experience was decent, we felt rushed to pay the bill even though there were only four tables occupied, and the restaurant was practically empty. I noticed a child at the table next to us being served a plate of macaroni and cheese. The lady accompanying the child called over to a waitress, who didn’t hear her initially because she was wearing an AirPod on the same side. After a few attempts, she finally realized someone was trying to get her attention. The woman informed the waitress that the dish was cold, and it was clear the waitress did not appreciate the comment.
The waitress took the child’s plate away, but when she returned it, the plate was excessively hot. I could tell because the child tried it and burned his mouth. He then informed his relative about it, who also tried the food and began efforts to cool it down. This behavior from both the waitress and the person in charge of the kitchen, who reheated the dish, was quite rude.

I did not make a reservation here so we could not sit inside the restaurant but the patio sitting are open and the weather was nice too. So if you want to eat here be sure to make a reservation. Our server doing our visit was Kolby did a great that night. We got the Monte Cristo Eggrolls and Kolby recommend the Deviled Eggs, and then we go the BBQ Chicken Pizza. I liked the eggrolls but the deviled eggs were better and I would get those again! The BBQ Chicken Pizza was good too and it was bigger than I thought so I was not able to finish it.

The Valentine’s Day menu had a great selection. We got the steak and salmon and both were cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our cocktails, appetizers and desert as well. Crystal was a phenomenal waiter and gave us perfect suggestions for food and drinks. Service was great and the waitstaff were all attentive and kind.

The food was delicious! Egg rolls, tuna nachos, pineapple pizza. The seasonal drinks weren’t for me, a little too sweet and syrup-y in my opinion. But everything was phenomenal! We went at 5p and liked the quiet start as the rush started coming in.
