You will be missing out for sure. while I was in there, i ordered the nacho’s , and, they were great! I i actually seen a picture of them on the door as I was walking in, that’s the only reason I had the idea to get them in the first place. I was not disappointed at all and there was plenty. I seen a couple of other people eating and I’m not sure what they were eating. But man, they looked amazing. There’s no doubt in my mind that this place
Should be a go 2 for everyone. You should definitely stop and check it out.

The Tavern at the Villiage is absolutely fantastic. Tonight was my first visit to the Tavern, and I loved it. I was with a group of Ladies, the Women in Businesses from the Old Hickory Chamber. Roberta come over to our table and talked to us and told us more about the Tavern. We love Roberta and appreciate all in love and hard work she pours into our Village Community. I can hardly wait to go back and take my husband and some of our friends. Thanks to the Tavern at the Village and the awesome staff for great food and great service. See ya again soon.

Thankful for a locally owned place to watch ball games. We enjoy the staff, atmosphere and many menu items (I’m partial to the fried mushrooms, chicken quesadilla, and Rueben sandwich).

My visit to The Tavern at the Village was a mix of hits and misses. I ordered the catfish, and while it was cooked perfectly with a nice flaky texture, it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning. The flavor was a little too bland, leaving me wanting more punch to make it stand out. I paired it with hush puppies and fries, which were both decent—crispy and warm—but nothing particularly memorable or unique. A little extra kick in the flavors would go a long way. I was also surprised that no cocktail sauce came with the fish; it felt like something was missing.
The atmosphere, though, was really enjoyable. The place has a cool vibe, with plenty of TVs and pool tables to keep the energy lively and give people something to do. Service at the bar was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick to make recommendations. For a casual night out, it’s a good spot, but the food could use a few tweaks to really make the experience complete. All in all, a solid option for drinks and entertainment, though the food left a bit to be desired.

I have dined here with family twice now and both times the food and service was excellent. The chicken tenders were some of the best I’ve ever had and I love the crispy fries. Also loved the French dip. Dee Dee was a great server as well. We plan to be regulars:

This place is the best, and something Old Hickory has needed for a while! We have been 4 times now, and have nothing but good things to say. My husband loves the catfish sandwich! And I have loved the quesadillas, Rueben, and patty melt! This is now our Sunday night staple, and will be a great place to catch a game in the fall! Sophia is one of the best waitresses and the bar staff is very efficient! Highly recommend!

So I show up to a half full bar. The bartender looks at me and ignores me so that he can finish his conversation with with his regulars. Cool, after he finishes with them as he picks his nose walks right pass me again to go talk to his friends I assume. Comes back to the bar turns his back to me to watch the football game. I had to get his attention to get service. That experience it self was bad considering the amount of business that the was in the bar. The final straw for me was when someone walked in with a beer and I quote ‘you can’t bring in outside drinks”, which was the right thing to do. The bartender said let me give you a cup to pour that in. Problem with that being a new bar you don’t know who’s watching. That could cost the owner her business. Do a better job vetting your staff. Clean place has potential, but the level of service can’t say that I won’t come back, but please educate your staff and let them know that they chose a career depended on tips. The service deserved 5 %

That being said, the staff was friendly and let us know it would be an hour wait for the food. We will def be back when it’s less busy.
The menu looks good and looks like they have some options for veggie and gluten free, but can’t confirm.
It is a large space with high tops, low tops, and a large seating area at the bar. There is sports on the tvs, electric games, and pool.
This would be a great place for a large group(once it calms down), or easy for a small group.
We decided to leave before ordering but are def coming back and update this review =)
