Buyer Beware..
I found out Now they have a new chef and staff. I was there about four months ago for lunch with a very nice gentleman.He had a wonderful shrimp salad and I had a Caesar salad with chicken.The service and the food was remarkable.
Fast forward to last Wednesday my girlfriend came up from Raleigh, She was excited about having lunch with me at the Tavern. What a disaster the entire lunch was not worth the money. The waitress had said before we ordered that no one ate there much.. we should have listened because now we see why.
We let her know that the food was not Satisfactory at all My girlfriends sandwich was burned and dried out. But, the sweet potato fries were great we both ate off the plate. My wings were not cooked thoroughly. They didn’t give us our money back or say sorry.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!! I got the turkey melt and my spouse got the ham and Swiss melt. My friend ordered the club sandwich and all 3 were amazing!!
Only giving 4 stars due to the insane smell of sewage coming from the rest room area. The smell basically smacked us in the face when we walked in. Otherwise, good experience!

Taking a long road trip from Florida to New England, decided to stop by here for food before getting on the road again. great food & staff members treated me like family! Might not be back for a long time because of the distance, but will always remember the great experience I had.

Wife and I each had a burger. Was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. And I asked for medium, and it was done perfectly! I had regular fries, the wife had sweet potato fries. Both were terrific.

Unappetizing fried green tomatoes served with nothing else…no dressing, no silverware, no plates! When those items were Finally brought to the table, it was Cheap Plastic plates & ramikens (plastic should not be used in a restaurant, its for picnics). Cesar salad seemed from a bag, with several pieces of wilted Romain, shrimp was dry and fairly tasteless. 1 star for location and atmosphere, & 1 for Just Barely Okay service food.
