A big nope from our table of four! We went to Tav-Vino last night to celebrate our friends’ birthdays. We’ve been there before and had an enjoyable experience so it was our friends’ choice. This time so extremely disappointing!! For starters, after requesting a specific table and getting the assurance that it was reserved for us, we arrived to find that it was now reserved for another party! Two of us then ordered the special which was listed on the white board as “lobster, scallops and shrimp.” It arrived with literally one scallop, one shrimp, and one minuscule piece of lobster, if that’s what you could even call it! I complained to our waitress who quickly dismissed it, saying “yeah, you only get a tiny piece of lobster” before she ran away, not to come back. The icing on the cake was the more than half hour wait for the check, which was scribbled on little pieces of paper and illegible, except for the total of $250!! Could have been so much better with simple changes. Such a shame. You’ve lost four locals who love to go out and patronize the local establishments!

Excellent food !! Everything we had was superb! The servers were great and welcoming and efficient. Such a nicely decorated atmosphere on the waterfront. They let us bring our own cake to celebrate an anniversary and they presented it so nicely. Awesome menu choices, the specials were amazing. We will definitely be back for special dinners.

I have been here two time and the food was terrific both times. If you like dirty martinis , they are the best right here at Tav-Vino. Everyone I was with enjoyed all our dishes. Service could be a tad better which is why I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5. My first visit I sat at the bar and loved it. The second time was at a table overlooking the water and sunset. I will definitely return here. This is worth the trip!
