For mains, we had the birria pizza and mezcal fettuccine, and both were phenomenal. The pizza was incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the mezcal fettuccine was my favorite—the homemade noodles were amazing, and the added salmon came in a generous portion.
The drinks were outstanding, especially the old fashioned (and I’m very picky). We tried the churro cheesecake for dessert, which leaned more bready than creamy, so I’d skip that next time. Our server, Edwin, was attentive and polite, Overall, a really enjoyable experience—I’ll definitely be back.
Birria pizza was a little oily and the cilantro risotto with the salmon was slightly over salted but overall it was great. The food was perfectly seasoned outside of that and the texture was great from both. The pizza is on the softer side but it works with style they are going for. No crispy crust.
The place doesn’t really have an “atmosphere” but it doesn’t mean it’s not cozy inside.
The Fettuccini al Mezcal had a surprising level of spice, so beware, but such good flavor.
I found the menu here really good, prepared well and served with a smile. The mix between Mexican and Italian is very curated and everything I tried (aguachile, sausage pizza and caramel flan, topped off with a Mexican glass bottle Coke) was well-seasoned, cooked expertly and didn’t feel too fussy or pretentious.
The service was top-notch and my server was always around to refill my water and the food came out very promptly.
What a great place to eat, even if dining solo like I was.
Honey pear prosciutto pizza: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We always get this as an appetizer. It’s such a creative, interesting flavor
Cilantro risotto: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The spicy shrimp is the perfect balance against the cilantro. (Although I wish restaurants would STOP serving shrimp with the tails still on. This would be 5 stars if I didn’t have to finish preparing it myself)
Spicy tomato basil chicken: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good but super peppery. Definitely get a drink with it!
Churro cheesecake: ⭐⭐ The cheesecake part was really dense and didn’t have a lot of flavor. The churro crust was interesting but created an odd texture when it got soggy. If the cheesecake had been fluffier or a little more sour cream it may have been better but as it is its mostly just thick and sweet (that’s what she said)
