I went in without many expectations and ended up really impressed. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent, and the menu felt very creative. We started with the mussels and octopus—the mussels were great, though the octopus portion was smaller than expected, so I probably wouldn’t order that again for the price.

For mains, we had the birria pizza and mezcal fettuccine, and both were phenomenal. The pizza was incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the mezcal fettuccine was my favorite—the homemade noodles were amazing, and the added salmon came in a generous portion.

The drinks were outstanding, especially the old fashioned (and I’m very picky). We tried the churro cheesecake for dessert, which leaned more bready than creamy, so I’d skip that next time. Our server, Edwin, was attentive and polite, Overall, a really enjoyable experience—I’ll definitely be back.

Caldo mar = perfection. From the broth flavour and spice level to the garnishing of cilantro that just added extra oomph. Just the right amount of seafood and diversity of seafood! Get the extra baguette on the side for dipping If I was from MKE I’d have this once a month definitely worth the trip to tauro just for the dish! Nice ambiance and staff. I came with no reservations 10 minutes before opening and they were so kind and accommodating

Food and service from our wait Edwin was amazing. He was very attentive and helped out with any requests we had.

Birria pizza was a little oily and the cilantro risotto with the salmon was slightly over salted but overall it was great. The food was perfectly seasoned outside of that and the texture was great from both. The pizza is on the softer side but it works with style they are going for. No crispy crust.

The place doesn’t really have an “atmosphere” but it doesn’t mean it’s not cozy inside.

Such a beautiful space with delicious food and drinks. We ordered bruschetta, higos pizza, cilantro risotto, toro mambo and jardín de Guadalupe drinks. This restaurant would make for a perfect date night spot! Will definitely be back.

We love the vibe at Tauro and the food has been great both times we visited.
The Fettuccini al Mezcal had a surprising level of spice, so beware, but such good flavor.

I’ve been here twice now. Both times were amazing! The food is so good, and I Ioved the drink from my last visit. The red sangria was delicious! I recommend the cilantro risotto. It was so flavorful, and the shrimp was great too. On the last trip, we got the churros for dessert. They came out hot and tasted amazing with the raspberry dipping sauce. Can’t wait to go back to try the pastas next time!

Tauro Cocina is the intersection of a comfortable neighborhood spot and interesting fusion cuisine. It has an intimate interior, comfortable outdoor seating, and food that lacks neither comfort nor sophistication.

I found the menu here really good, prepared well and served with a smile. The mix between Mexican and Italian is very curated and everything I tried (aguachile, sausage pizza and caramel flan, topped off with a Mexican glass bottle Coke) was well-seasoned, cooked expertly and didn’t feel too fussy or pretentious.

The service was top-notch and my server was always around to refill my water and the food came out very promptly.

What a great place to eat, even if dining solo like I was.

I really enjoyed this place! We got the poblano pizza, Parmesan risotto, and spicy tomato basil. Everything tasted great especially the risotto. The drinks (hibiscus and strawberry basil) were also delicious.

Where do I start?! Tauro is simply outstanding! Their food is top notch (Chile Encuerado, Fettuccini al Mezcal and the Churro Cheesecake are my personal faves), the atmosphere is adorable (with great lighting) and the owners are equally amazing! I had the pleasure of working with Ahide and Berto for a Derby party and they couldn’t have been easier to work with – kind, creative and responsive, everything you want when planning an event. That being said, Tauro is not only an incredible place for dinner, it’s also an incredible place to host your next event!

We’ve never been disappointed here. Their food is amazing and their drink menu is really varied and delicious. We had a party there for my birthday and basically tried everything on the app menu and everything was so good.

Honey pear prosciutto pizza: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We always get this as an appetizer. It’s such a creative, interesting flavor

Cilantro risotto: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The spicy shrimp is the perfect balance against the cilantro. (Although I wish restaurants would STOP serving shrimp with the tails still on. This would be 5 stars if I didn’t have to finish preparing it myself)

Spicy tomato basil chicken: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good but super peppery. Definitely get a drink with it!

Churro cheesecake: ⭐⭐ The cheesecake part was really dense and didn’t have a lot of flavor. The churro crust was interesting but created an odd texture when it got soggy. If the cheesecake had been fluffier or a little more sour cream it may have been better but as it is its mostly just thick and sweet (that’s what she said)
